🗣️ Did Korra just forget everything Wan showed her? She watched the world burn because humans and spirits couldn’t coexist. She saw exactly why Wan closed the portals. That decision kept relative peace for 10,000 years. Then Unalaq says the Avatar shouldn’t be a bridge… and she listens? After... show more

Mind you we literally see humans and spirits existing together in peace after this??? Did you even watch the show

Lol… your kind only watch the show and go blank on what happens after the show?

We don’t know what happens after the show…?

Because the funny thing about Korra villains is that they are technically right, just misguided. Or in Amons case using a legitimate problem to accumulate power. Unalaq was right about balance being disrupted by the spirit world being cut off from the physical world.

@RileyAlbarn How has keeping the spirit portals open actually made the world better? The Pavi trailer for Seven Havens clearly shows the world has been completely shattered and is in ruins. Don’t you think the open portals are the main reason for that catastrophe?

We don't know why the avatar world is how it'll be in seven havens. No, actually I don't think the spirit portals are the cause. Because we know the open portals is the natural state of that world. That's how it was until Wan closed the portals.

@RileyAlbarn @ChibRisky Yes we do Yes they are No it is not

@ChibRisky So instead of waiting for the series to come out, we're gonna prematurely blame Korra for something that doesn't make any sense (because the portals being open is the world's natural state) based on an unconfirmed leak that doesn't make any sense without breaking the lore.

@RileyAlbarn @ChibRisky Oh a Korra fan actually cares about the lore, the irony This leak came from the same source that leaked the Aang movie so I am willing to believe Plus knowing the quality of the Korra writers this is 100% believable

@ChibRisky But you're also willing to skip the part about it being an early backstory concept that probably was subject to changes over the production time. And LOK doesn't actually break any lore. Expanding lore doesn't break it.

@ChibRisky Also, most people who say Korra Breaks Lore usually say that the lore breaking is portraying the Gaang as flawed adults, which... Y'all. Everyone is flawed. That's the point of the whole verse.

Thisss😭😂😂😂

Every Avatar Aang ask how to deal with Ozai, said that he should kill him. So, listening what every Avatar said is maybe not the best way. The Avatar should be the bridge between physical and spiritual world, not to build a wall.

Lol… Korra clearly witnessed Raava say this

Guess we got to dump the whole Fire Nation into the spirit world as well, considering how many episodes we watched showing they can’t coexist peacefully with the rest of the world.

Look, the world burning because spirits and humans interacted. Almost like the Avatar's role is to ensure people and spirits can pretty easily live together given the chance. Not saying there aren't problems, and beings like Koh are always a problem but spirits aren't demonic.

I don't agree because originally the worlds were linked; humans lived on lion turtles instead of trying to coexist with the spirits, and Wan showed a human could. So, in a sense, Korra just returned the world to what it was originally meant to be after Wan changed it.

The Wan flashback also showed her that some humans could befriend spirits. Wan befriended spirits before he was the avatar and with people like Tenzin and the Avatar around, maybe they could teach the world how to live in peace with spirits.

Did you watch literally the entire season at all

Mind you the world didn’t burn when Spirits and Humans lived together it wasn’t until after they separated the world did in fact burn

Did you miss when Wan cried out that he failed and was wrong with his dying breaths? 😭 Or the part where the 100 year war actually DID ruin the balance between spirits and humans and opening the portals DID fix it? Or the part where humans and spirits lived in harmony in s4?

Isn't Korra's story all about not avoiding the actions needed to find balance? Uplifting nonbenders, the air nation, respecting the Earth nation while defending against it? You can't reach balance between man and spirit if you avoid it like Wan did.

Wan was a friend to the spirits, at the time, he was making the choice to protect both humans and spirits as humans left their lion turtles and explored the world. That time has passed and I fully thing wan who lived among the spirits would make this choice all these years later

she brought back airbender by leaving the spirit portals open

And this isn't even in the Top 5 of things wrong with the Book 2 finale

Thank you… Mehn… in my opinion, I think her fanbase just side her because they want something to present when one mentions Aang… they just kind of want an opposite is that makes sense

Even though I don't like Book 2, I still really like Legend of Korra

Except. The source of the cataclysm is unnamed, and its already stated that humans AND SPIRITS are living together in the Seven Heavens. Quit making shit up 😂

That’s not what I took from WAN’s story. Remember the writers are trying to convey something and they don’t have a grudge against Korra like yall do. So the writers believe leaving the portals open is correct and they used Korras decision to convey this.

Relative peace if you ignore the minimum three campaigns of aggression by Earth Kingdom leaders. The genocide of the air nation, the interment and murder of water benders, the oppression of non-benders. Not saying spirits would have fixed any of this, but Wan didn't end conflict

LoK tells a story that a single figure head should never be in 100% rule, because those in power will manipulate and change history to their beneift and allows propaganda to seep in, even to those who would be against it and even aware of it. But thats too complex for some of yal

Hey if she had close the portals the new air benders wouldn’t have returned to the world.

So you’re saying segregation is the answer to everything ? It’s bad people just like it’s bad spirits doesn’t change the fact that the original state of the world was unison Wan should’ve took the time to teach humans and spirits they could get along instead of building a border

Tell me you didn't actually watch the show without telling me you didn't actually watch the show

Well letting the spirits out brought back the air nation so I was happy with this decision. Being back lost element is good.

Bender magic is fundamentally a spiritual thing, and the fact that the airbenders returned only proves that the portals should have been left open. Perhaps not forever, of course, but at least for some period.

An avatar duty to bring balance to the world. And the 2 world was connected n at peace n the world was green an healthy. Korra connected the 2 world n brought balance. The beings living in it needs to learn to coexist as Korra said. Unlike wan, unaloq was a spiritual master.

Idc how Korra fans try to spin this, allowing mfs like Koh the Face Stealer into walk free in the human world whenever he wants and wreak havoc is an insanely bad decision

The decision she makes here literally brings back the Air Nation . The universe literally was telling her this is the right decision

Wan didnt close them because humans and spirits couldnt coexist, he closed them so no human can enter the spirit portals to free vaatu

Before the lion turtles humans lived around the world but the spirits invaden it and forced them to seek protection with the lion-turtles who had the power of the elementos, the whole point is that balance is never perfect, there are eras where one is stronger over the other

Ok, then Korra chose to bring back the era on spirits dominating

A lady recounted her experience with a guy she described as extremely shameless. According to her, the guy had been texting her persistently and kept insisting on taking her out on a date. She eventually agreed, and he suggested a location close to his place. On the day of the date, she arrived before him. Despite the proximity, he showed up very late. What infuriated her wasn’t the lateness itself, but the fact that he arrived wearing nothing but a Barcelona jersey and a pair of Nike slides. Once they had ordered food, he casually told her that since his place was right nearby, she should just come over with him after they finished eating. She immediately said no. This prompted him to say that he wouldn’t pay for her meal if she refused to follow him home. She quickly replied that in that case she would cover her own food, which she did without hesitation. Even after they finished eating and she booked a Bolt to go home, the guy asked if he could join her in the car and get dropped off at his junction. She agreed but made him pay part of the fare.
