As you guys probably know I have officialy quit fortnite since 1-2 months ago. I just didn’t feel like I had it in me to compete anymore, and I think I put alot of my pressure on myself to get good results, which in the end just led to huge dissapointments for me. I probably didn’t ever have the achievements I wanted, but the people I met and the experiences I made along the way are priceless. I have now applied to study psychology (which I hopefully get into this summer🤞) and then chose to solo travel Nepal and hike. What comes in the future is still unknown for me, but I am very happy to be where I am, and lifes good. I will obviously still follow up on how my boys are doing, and the fortnite scene in general but won’t be playing Till next time❤️

🔴IMPROVE YOUR SUPER COUNTER🔴 I will refer to you the host as player 1 and friend as player 2 Step 1 - Invite friend to room and create a private match Step 2 - Make DP teams, equip Max health and ki recovery to all your character for this match. Step 3 - To initiate training player 1 should approach player 2 and charge melee attack (smash attack it’s called in game) As demonstrated on this video, also note you have 2 assault vanishing attacks not including lightning attack which would be (O on ps5) per assault combo string. Player 2 can try and super counter that first charged attack and if he fails he’s got another 2 chances at super counter after you follow up the next two vanishing assaults. Step 4 - Flick Up followed by rush attack (⬆️+🟪) so UP first than SQUARE almost simultaneously but fast! on hit. It sounds silly that it has to be on hit but it is literally how it is done so (same time you get hit is the time you input ⬆️+🟪) Step 5 - Never break this rule: you and your friend can only damage each other with successful Super counter. A little tip to reset the vanishing assaults mid vanishing assault combo sequence. - So say player 1 has connected a charged smash and a(1) vanishing assault, And player 2 did not succeed in executing super counters, what should happen next is player 2 should vanish the 2nd Vanishing Assault of player 1 by pressing (🔴) instead of attempting Super Counter (⬆️+🟪), and once player two knocks back player 1 with a successful 🔴 counter player 2 should now press 🔺to do 2 vanishing assault combos, whilst player 1 attempts doing (Super Counter), and if player 1 fails to super counter the first vanishing attack player 1 should press 🔴 on the 2nd attack, now making it so that player 2 has to attempt super counter.. 😭😂💀 I know complicated but it really isn’t. The entire battle can be of you two simply super countering each other! Me and my friend did this for a few hours to build muscle memory and reaction speed because what’ll notice is you have to be fast to react to super counters or else you will take tons of damage. Also I can’t tell you how satisfying it is to perform these. My friend Erci was like: Goku come on man you’re the MC this is cake for you DO IT!! I was like: I am the son of of the prince of all Saiyans you can’t touch me GOKU 😈😂😭 we were talking mad trash to each other. Wtf am I supposed to do with this Dave (Dave Meltzer) this is so mind-numbingly dumb it actually makes me want to quit X. You almost won. I genuinely feel that sorry for you. Because what’s the fucking point. I'm a Philadelphia Eagles fan. I played Division 1 football. I wasn't good at that level, but I was good enough to play at that level and against competition that was way over my head. Watching Eagles tape is kind of like my palette cleanser. It’s a hobby. Because everything else I enjoy somehow touches Hollywood and entertainment. X’s and O’s doesn’t touch my work. I can just be a fan and not somehow make it about my work. We’re 7-2 and it’s somehow still miserable to watch. We’re winning in spite of the QB. Sirianni’s boxed in. He can’t run what he wants because Hurts can’t go through progressions. We have 2 elite receivers and who are both fucking miserable because they are elite, and Hurts is an awful QB. That 4th and 6 with :30 left makes zero fucking sense unless you understand it in this context. That was frustration. It was an indictment on what they actually believe about Jalen Hurts, and Hurts couldn’t even make that throw. It almost cost the Eagles the game. That was Sirianni saying “I know what the fuck I'm doing!" Yeah, me too, Coach. I understand that Dave and Bryan make shit up. Ok, Don’t want to get too heavy on you today. But I can’t help that a major event in my life fell on Good Friday years ago. Don’t worry I have been healthy for a while now but this is probably the most important post I can ever share with you. I already told you how Good Friday 1989 changed my life forever. Let me tell you how Good Friday 2017 DEFINED MY LIFE FOREVER. This photo is from March 2017 when I had a surgery in to take a lump off my thyroid that was detected in my yearly physical. The 1 hr surgery ended up being 3 hrs of removing stage 2 cancer that I didn’t know I even had. The surgeon put 4 dots where he would make his incision on my neck. I don’t believe it was a coincidence or mistake that the dots are over the word blessed and under the word GOD. I am cancer free and enjoying my life due to that yearly physical and #earlydetection . I am alive and healthy because I put my health first. Are you doing this? I have come to the realization that we generally go out of our way to take care of everybody else but ourselves. But I believe that Good Friday was a sign to convince me to use my public stage for something else. Bottom line, if I can just get 1 of you to push yourself or the ones you love to get a physical, mammogram, colonoscopy, endoscopy, blood pressure test, diabetes test or whatever else you are neglecting, then maybe that’s why I have been blessed with the public stage. Early Detection has been proven to be one of the best ways to help people survive potentially fatal ailments. I have received hundreds of letters by people that tell me I saved their life because they heard this message from me, went to the doctor and caught a problem in time. If I can save more lives by bringing this to your attention, then I have done my job. Happy Good Friday. Today vs March 21 Little tangent here. Scared dogs don’t make puppies… I’ve been farming my whole life. In 2011 I lost my dad to cancer and the family looked at me to put out the crop. My dad made decisions. He was a leader. When I became responsible to seed, fertilize, spray, etc… 3,000 acres I knew I had 1 talent from when I was a kid. I have a memory like no other. I can tell you what hybrid I plant, pop, rate, day the last 14 years because I am engaged. When everyone was telling me exactly how to do things. I was more curious of what happens when I change a variable here or there. What was the elasticity of that decision or management. In weather forecasting they have a similar system that I was somewhat inspired by called ensemble forecasts where they change variables slightly and see how weather systems behave differently as time progresses. I could lean on my memory. I was bored AF quite honestly to do the same thing over and over again. What happens to corn if you skip a row or 2 or plant it thin or thick? Beans…can you broadcast them? Can you plant wheat with a shit tank? Can you run it over? When it’s 4” tall… what about 6” what about 13” Could you rotationally graze inside a cash crop and empower edge effect elasticity and fertilize simultaneously? It would drive some people crazy as they would wonder if you should plant 160,000 or 176000 beans per acre? What’s the difference…nothing. What’s the difference between 20” corn and 2040” corn? Full season likes the latter….early yields best crowded. Fuck around and Find out isn’t just some tic tok deal. It’s how you don’t become a scared dog. It calms your nerves as most people freak out about things that don’t really matter. Because they never had the balls to try anything else than what their dad did. I always felt like I needed to learn why and how things worked if I was ever going to become a better farmer. What matters are the derivatives, the 1st principles. There is a lot more we can do in production agriculture. It’s not all about winning the yield contest. Sometimes it’s about learning what you don’t need. That creates freedom.

On the second day of recruiting myths… Myth #2: “The name on the front of your jersey doesn’t matter.” There is some truth here. But people usually say this to make you feel better if you’re not on a team in the “recruiting bubble.” And yes of course there are always outliers. If you’re Montana Fouts, you could show up playing for the Butterflies and coaches would still be lined up drooling at the fence. But for most of us? The jersey does matter. Especially if you don’t have true 5-star size or can’t blow people away with elite metrics. I know this because I’ve been on both sides of it. Same player. Same work ethic. Completely different response from coaches. Why does the jersey matter more than people admit? First impressions. If a coach doesn’t recognize your club as one that consistently produces players at their level, you have to overwhelm them with performance and numbers just to get the same look. What matters even more than the jersey name is the coach attached to it. My last club, Rising, was brand new. But my coach, Steve Appel, had a lot of successful former players at top 25 programs. Coaches knew him. Trusted him. We were at the best fields and no one cared what was on the front of our jerseys. At my first tournament with that team, I saw more college coaches than I had in my entire recruiting journey before that. It’s true. College coaches aren’t recruiting a jersey. They’re recruiting you. But your jersey affects: •what fields you play on •who stops to watch •how risky you look on paper A well-known club with proven coaches comes with built-in credibility. Can you get recruited without that? Yes. I did. But if you’ve read my book, you know how many things had to line up for that to happen. So is there truth to this myth? Yes. But most of the time, when people say it, they’re trying to protect you from a harder truth: Recruiting isn’t just about how good you are. It’s also about who’s willing to vouch for you. And your jersey is a powerful indicator of that before a coach sees you even pick up a ball. #RecruitingRules Rule #6: The lifeblood of recruiting is relationships. This is the sweet spot for enough population & not to much competition. You want parks with almost no web presence & little to no reviews. A DG nearby is great. Walmart is better. But remember, “if no DG, it ain’t for me.” If there's a Whole Foods you ain't getting a good deal, I promise. Growth rate is good too, but #3 to the two above. Don't worry about the path of progress as much as other asset classes might. 2. Find the leads Get on Google Maps and search "mobile home park" in your target area(s). Avoid NY & CA (not landlord friendly). Make a Google sheet of the leads & use Loom to record your screen. Spend 30 mins doing this. OR, use something like Outscraper to do it for you. Be warned though, that if you don’t do this yourself the scraped results may not be as accurate. If you’re targeting a smaller geographical area I would do it by hand. If a whole state, use software. You’re looking for phone numbers. Use SearchBug . com to see if cell or landline for pennies. Or Phone Validator Go to Upwork and hire a virtual assistant to keep doing this for you, assuming you are targeting a larger area. They will cost around $4/hour. Use that same Loom link in your posting so applicants can see what the job will entail. When working, Loom it! You’ll never know when you’ll need it. When in doubt, Loom it out! More leads = better deals. 3. Call the leads Call up the owners and be real. Don't talk about any accolades. He doesn't care and it will only hurt you. You're a hard working country boy. You have a wife and kids (I hope you actually do). Are you a democrat? Don't tell the owner. (Sorry, democrats). Here's your general pitch: "I'm not a broker, I'm just looking for some good real estate and don't want to waste your time with a lowball offer. I can pay cash and close fast" Tell him about your wife and kids and what you do on the weekend. Most importantly, LISTEN. He's going to talk your ear off. This is a good sign. 4. Ask the right questions Ask him: How many pad sites? How many of those have a unit on them? How many of the units are RVs? (It's common for there to be a mix of MH/RV) Any single family homes on the property? Rent? Are the units park owned or tenant owned? (this is key) If a mix, what's the mix? Park-owned homes you have to maintain. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Tenant-owned homes are key (lot rent). This means you only rent out the land and underground infrastructure. Depending on the state, sometimes you can sell back or give away the park-owned units to the tenants to absolve yourself of maintenance. Check the laws! You'll command half the rent but enjoy 90% less hassles. $250 - $350 is common lot rent in the midwest and SE. What's the occupancy and rental amount of each type of unit? Any outbuildings on the property? Septic or city sewer? If septic, conventional or aerobic? Sewer is best. Septic isn’t a deal breaker but you REALLY want to have it inspected. If there’s a lagoon or wastewater treatment plant I want you to throw that phone as far as you can, block their number and never speak of it again. Within city limits or no? City limits are best but rare. Outstanding municipal or zoning issues? How much is insurance? How much is landscaping? Asphalt, cement or dirt roads? Condition of the roads? Any drainage issues? Is there a manager? What do you pay them? (Best if no manager) Any pending litigation? What are total collections? How do people pay rent? How many are delinquent? What condition are the units in? Do you have a lien on the property? How long have you owned it? 30 or 50 amp? City maintained streets? City water or well? City is best. Keep in mind, that’s a lot of questions to ask. You have to feel it out, if he’s being standoffish, don’t keep pushing, just call back. This isn’t a used car lot, this is a relationship you’re trying to build. Don’t try and close on this first call. The key question: "If we were to make a deal, what's a ballpark offer you'd expect?" NEVER anchor him with the phrase "bottom dollar." Using the word "ballpark" keeps numbers loose. Whatever number he says, you want to pause and hem and haw over it. Embrace the silence and awkwardness. Back to car sales, they call this the “silent walkaround” when valuing a trade-in. Don’t say a thing about the asset, but point out the flaws with your body language. Touch the dents and scratches as you pause. Do the phone version of this. Tell him you'll get back to him tomorrow. Thank him profusely for his time and congratulate him on the park he's built. 5. Underwrite Before you do anything, check with the city to ensure the park is in good standing. Get that in writing. Don't trust the seller. Buyers are liars? So are sellers! Now's time to crunch numbers: What's a cap rate? The net operating income of the park divided by the price you'd like to pay. If you want your money back in 5 years and you're willing to pay up to $1m, you need $200k net profit per year. This is a 20% cap rate (20 cap). It's aggressive but possible on a smaller, rural park. (Yes, it really is, even in 2023) You probably won’t find a park that big in a small town for a good price, though. Start w/ a smaller park & higher cap rate. More room for error. $300k - $1m purchase price. First do some market research: Remember all your leads? Call competing parks as a potential tenant and ask what their lot rent is. Put this in a spreadsheet to get average lot rent & park-owned home rent. Keep in mind many of these parks will be undercharging as well. It's common to find parks charging $100 that could charge $250. When calculating cap rate BE CONSERVATIVE. Don't count on 100% of people staying if you increase rents, even though most will. Use $190 to be safe. Shoot for a park that will net $100k/year after rent increases that you pay no more than $600k for. It’s hard but not impossible. Or maybe you find a $30k/year park to get your feet wet. At least you're in the game. The more leads you scrape, the better chance of finding this park. Shoot for as much seller financing as you can get. Finance the rest with friends/family or savings. Once you find this park, get it under contract. Use a standard, simple real estate form that you can find on your state's real estate commission website. Texas' is called TREC. Yes, get it under contract before seeing it. Put down earnest and option money, and then go see it. Don't dress like a city slicker. Be personable and be willing to stay a while and BS. Drive a Tesla? Rent a truck. Drive a Prius? Just quit. Inspect the condition of the units, even if you aren't buying them Crappy units = more tenants willing to abandon them. And they aren't cheap to remove or move. Verify everything he said on the call If all looks good, start on the inspections: Septic or sewer lines SFH home inspection. Check with the city for outstanding issues or litigation Check for liens Wastewater treatment plant? If so, abandon ship! Electrical infrastructure Use professionals for all of these. Ask for: Rent rolls. They will likely be handwritten, that’s ok. Bank statements. Ask to speak to a few tenants to get their experience. Inspect their lease. Ask for vendor invoices or history of payments. Ask to speak to vendors. At some point before you close, list the property on Craigslist, FB Marketplace and Zillow. See how demand is for vacancies. If all still looks good, close on the property. 6. Post-closing strategy Meet all the tenants in the evening, they're at work during the day. Shake their hands. Tell them you want their experience to be amazing & you want them to stay Give them your number Ask what can be fixed If fixes are cheap, do them ASAP Tell that tenant once fixes are made. Address them by name. Clean up the park. Hire a tree guy to clear out low hanging branches. Do some simple landscaping. Find the tattletale in the park and get all the dirt. Who are the druggies and abusive husbands? Get them out ASAP if you can. They are much more expensive than the temporary vacancy hit. Fix potholes and drainage issues. ADD VALUE. Show you care. Wait a couple months before making any changes. Bring lot rents closer to market. Be upfront about this. They will understand if they've been getting a deal. Give people 2-3 more months' notice to give them time. Keep renting out vacancies at new price. This isn't self storage. You won't raise rents yearly. Don't be a jerk. Let them know what to expect. Once rents are raised and park is stabilized, you are 9-12 months in. Search Loopnet for the most active MHP brokers Hire the best one & pay what he or she commands. Sell on the market for 7-10% cap You've just 2-3x'ed your money. Rinse & repeat. I have done this over many times. Not all of my deals were bangers, but most were. THERE ARE STILL DEALS OUT THERE. There's a lot of fine print, and things can and will go wrong, so don't be dumb. Do your own research. Not everything can be explained in 1,700 words. I've bought over 30 RV & MH parks in the last 5 years. Lately? 2 per month. Want our playbook? Here ya go: How to buy a small, off-market mobile home or RV park that can 2x your money in 1-2 years, in 5 steps: 1. Pick a city in a red state. The two biggest factors: Crime & unemployment rates Crime: CrimeGrade . org Unemployment: SimpleMaps . com Cities with 3k - 30k people are best. This is the sweet spot for enough population & not to much competition. You want parks with almost no web presence & little to no reviews. A DG nearby is great. Walmart is better. But remember, “if no DG, it ain’t for me.” If there's a Whole Foods you ain't getting a good deal, I promise. Growth rate is good too, but #3 to the two above. THANKS GREECE — I LOVE YOU! 🇬🇷❤️ I promised my family I would not leave Greece until I danced and sang — totally off key of course! 😂 — to Mamma Mia! You haven’t truly experienced the Greece fairytale unless you’ve checked this off the bucket list. 💕 I’m so grateful I’ve been able to travel internationally over the past decade to learn about other amazing cultures, meet incredible people and to see nature’s awesome beauty firsthand that God has created in this world. 🌅 When you do the work I do exposing the most evil people on the planet who commit the most horrific crimes against children, it’s extremely hard not to get totally consumed and overwhelmed by the darkness. Traveling always grounds me, heals my soul, gives me perspective, brings me closer to the Lord and revives my energy so I can keep fighting just when I feel I don’t have it in me to fight on anymore. Most importantly, it reminds me that there is way more good than evil in this world and the light always overcomes the darkness. 🕯️ It’s very hard to walk away from something so beautiful, and it brought me to tears as I headed to the airport. However, after 36 plus hours of travel to get home including delayed flights, a missed flight and total mayhem at London’s Heathrow Airport — I could not tell you how happy and relieved I was to arrive on U.S. soil. It made me even more overjoyed that the first person I spoke to was one of our incredible U.S. border patrol agents at U.S. Immigration & Customs at DFW Airport in Dallas. 👊🏽 God bless our incredible U.S. Border Patrol warriors! The world is filled with so many amazing and beautiful countries but the Land of the Free & the Home of the Brave is no doubt the best country in the world and we’re all so blessed to live here. Despite all the corruption that’s infiltrated our government, that thankfully is getting cleaned out by President Trump and his administration, America will always be the Shining City upon a hill. 🇺🇸💫 And it looks like I set my clock right since I’m back just in time for Hotdog Boy Barack Obama’s imminent arrest! ⏰🐇 Gunpowder, treason, and plot. I know of no reason why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot. Let the season of justice for treason, crimes against children & humanity commence! 🔥 I will do an X Space soon — so much to discuss. Back when I had nothing… I was a nobody to most people. TBH, my parents didn't even see me getting to where I am today. It's just the truth, the chips were stacked for my sister. Not me. But it's just not the reality today. However, there was ONE person in my life that didn’t see me that way. My significant other saw something in me before a lot of things. Before all my wins. Before the $. Before any proof. And honestly… that means a lot to me, if not the most of all. I’ve always been wired a little different. I’m a mix of finance, engineering, and tech, with a sprinkle of obsession. I learned and studied from the best. Warren Buffett for how to invest. Elon Musk for work ethic and where the future is going. And once I saw it… I went all in. Bc when you truly understand what you own… you don’t need 20 bets. What you really need is conviction and just a few bets. That’s how I approached everything in my life. All the way from Apple… to Tesla… to 𝕏… to xAI… and now SpaceX. I believe I have an eye for spotting the best entrepreneurs and companies early, before it becomes obvious to everyone. And when I see it, I back it 100%. That’s just who I am. I don’t need a big circle. I’ve already got my day ones. I don’t need approval. I grew up my whole life with doubt and hate, so what’s one more? At this point, the levels are just too different. And yeah… it's true, it actually gets harder to make new friends when you’re moving like this. So I stay loyal to the ones who were there when I had nothing. I made it with Apple - youngest in, youngest out. Then I made it with Tesla… while people were laughing, doubting, calling me crazy, telling me I was going to go bankrupt with Elon. Fast forward to today, now I'm heading into something even bigger. If the story plays out the way it’s shaping up… SpaceX could have the largest IPO in history this year. The company is talking about raising over $75B… at a $1.75-$2 trillion valuation. For context… the biggest IPO ever - Saudi Aramco - raised about $29B. This would be more than double that. Let that sink in deep. To me this is more than just an investment. This is owning a piece of the future of space, energy, AI... extending the light of consciousness forward in case something happens to Earth. People can call me crazy. People can call me cocky. Arrogant. But the people that actually know me know the truth - I’m just real AF. I say what I believe, and I stand on it. And I genuinely don’t care what people think. I have two middle fingers always held high for those kind of people. That’s probably why I’ve been able to win the way I have. My significant other tells me to slow down sometimes. And I get it. But for me… What’s the point of life if you play it safe? If you see an opportunity that can change everything… and you just sit back? That’s not me. I’d rather go all in on something I believe in… live with intensity… take the hits… and actually feel alive and live life with fulfillment. Laugh if you want, doubt if you want. Some play it safe, a few go all in. You can call it risky. You can call it stupid. You can call it crazy. I call it living. Bc at the end of the day, I'd rather go all in on something I believe in and fail... than spend my life wondering "what if."

I just sold my startup Talknotes for $200,000 on acquire.com 💸🤯🤩💰🥳🎉 I launched it last August when I was looking for an idea I could grow with paid ads, and made a MVP in one week. I took it from $0 to $7500 MRR in just 11 months. 👉 Here is how I grew it from zero: 💡 Idea: I got the idea when I tried to write a tweet using Google Doc's transcription tool, but it was terrible. And I was pretty sure I wasn't the one too lazy to type. So I made my own solution, and Talknotes was created. The audience is pretty broad so it was a perfect fit for Meta ads However… ✅ Validation: My rule is to only reinvest what the project generates, so, no ads until I make enough cashflow ❌ Listing on startup directories + a few Twitter sales generated $700 after 10 days. Yes, it's not much, but more than enough to show there is interest in the product and tell me to keep working on it 🤩 I started adding the features users requested, but the launch effect started to wear off and daily revenues quickly went to $0 after a few weeks 🫥 I got depressed and almost gave up on the app... 😔 But luckily, my friends and Dan Kulkov pushed me to continue And I'm glad they did because In October, I launched on Product Hunt 😸 and it blew up 🤯 It got Product of the Day and reached $1500 MRR thanks to the media coverage 🚀🚀 Until then, everything was done using vanilla JS/CSS/HTML + Node for back end. It's simple and easy, but I saw the limitations, so I remade the app using Nuxt to make it easier in the future 🏗️ (thanks to @blackevilgoblin and Piotr Jura for the content/courses! Tim Bennetto as well for the basics!) After that, I took a break and then launched ads on Facebook. The strategy is simple: Catch people's attention, and show them how the app can help them improve their life. No need to over-complicate 🙅‍♂️ Making good creatives is 80% of the job when doing ads on Facebook, most of the technical stuff is done by AI now. Thanks to the boost in traffic, I implemented a feedback loop: 1) Get new users 👥 2) Learn to know them with the onboarding form 💬 3) Make more ads based on the data you get from onboarding 📝 And it completely blew up. MRR doubled in ~2 months However... In May, I had a bad burnout 🥵😩 Multiple bugs slipped into the app, and I had to spend 2 days fixing everything in an emergency while revenues plummeted. This completely fucked me up mentally and had a hard time working on the app after that ( 💀💀 So I decided to list it on acquire.com and made a Twitter post ( I listed it for $200,000, a pretty low price considering the revenues and fast growth. I could have gotten $300,000 if I accepted payment over time, but $200,000 today is better than $300,000 tomorrow for me. 🚨 The process went smoothly until we tried to use Escrow, which almost fucked up the whole deal. (details: I got extremely lucky because the buyer really wanted to buy the app, but this could have ended the deal. We had to wait over a week to get the money back from them, even tho they said they already refunded it. But luckily, after threatening them, they sent it back the next day 🙃 The buyer finally got the money back, I transferred every asset to him, and he sent me the wire. With the profit made from the app + the sale, and other projects, I'm 30% away from being a millionaire 🤯 With this amount, I can pretty much retire in Asia if I want to. But that's just the beginning, I’m going to launch new projects soon! 🚀 But before that, I need to take a real vacation and detox. My brain is completely fucked up by those last 2 months. I gained weight, and got brain rot from scrolling all day waiting for the acquisition to move forward 💀💀 Surprisingly, doing absolutely nothing is 10x more exhausting than working 15h per day 🥱 Now, all this might sound like an overnight success. It is not ‼️ This is the result of 7 years of failure and working like a madman. I launched over 40 projects in those 7 years, and most of them failed. But a few took off, and that’s all I needed All those weeks working 15h/day without weekends and vacation feels soul-sucking when you don’t see the end, but this is what took me there You only need to win once to snowball everything. Strength work for Leadville 100 💪 Over the years, I have felt judged by the research--my strength routines were limited to a few minutes at a time, while everyone was screaming at me from their Abstracts that I needed to do way more. I noticed two big problems whenever I committed to more resistance training: 1. I'd carry around soreness even after the initial adaptation window, likely corresponding to high CK levels and some background inflammation. Either way, it would reduce running economy on subsequent running training days, and every training day counts. Split squats are the ultimate offender--an exercise that I know I should be doing, but I can't without feeling like Forrest Gump after he was shot in the butt. 2. I just wouldn't do it. Oops. With lots of guessing and testing, I developed this routine, which I'd do after my easy run on Sunday (before a Monday rest day), and sometimes after my workout on Wednesday (if I felt like it): 1. Three Minute Mountain Legs, working up to 100 single-leg step-ups (I think step-ups in particular are a magic exercise for running uphill. But remember, magic is not equal to science): 2. Back squats, 2 sets of 10 (135 pounds for me, which I make look like 800 pounds in this video. The 17-year old me who played football would laugh so hard) 3. Back extensions, 2 sets of 30, engaging glutes and hamstrings 4. Single-leg calf raises, 1 set of 100 on each leg, with a 35 pound dumbbell 5. Every day, I do the 2-minute Core Snack routine 1-3 times. My core strength is one of my best attributes for ultras, and I can do the Core Snack with our toddler Leo. I also do daily band work before running (bandz a make me dance): That's it! I also foam roll and stretch daily (don't tell the researchers, but I am a tight boi and as soon as I stop stretching, I get hurt). The lesson is not to do this particular routine, but that strength training for runners can be based on individual needs. And I personally think that routines should be short and efficient for both performance (limiting breakdown) and adherence (limiting me from being a lazy little punk). Find what works for you, do it 1-2 times per week year round (on top of some daily supportive work), and don't feel the need to pursue progressive overload. It's not about getting stronger and stronger (unless you're into that sort of thing for its own sake, which I think will sacrifice some running growth). It's about supporting performance and health 🧡

Instead of just talking about it, I wanted to go through it and really break it down to figure out the exact reason for the difference in Jalen Duren's play between the regular season and the playoffs. *LONG BREAKDOWN COMING* First, lets list how much the difference was: Iso in RS: 82nd %ile Iso in PS: 21st %ile Post-ups in RS: 88th %ile Post-ups in PS: 59th %ile PPP on drives in RS: 1.18 ppp PPP on drives in PS: 0.80 Layups in RS: 79th %ile Layups in PS: 19th %ile It was a staggering drop off. Shocking to many of us who watched him all season. So, what happened? Well, #1 I think mentally he was letting his struggles get to him and he started to play out of control. Something that suggests this to me is this stat: He started to figure some things out himself in isolation over the last 2 games against the Cavs. He had six isolation possessions in the final two games against the Cavs; he scored on five of those possessions and drew a foul on the other. Game 6 he started to look confident and really made them pay out of isolation. I really think a ton of it was he got hit with a punch early against ORL and really struggled to handle the pressure and struggles after, and just kept stacking and stacking. So, him being in his own head is #1 for me. #2: His handle got exposed quite a bit. In the regular season, he only had a 4.2 TO% in isolation, which is incredible. In the playoffs, though, that spiked to 20 TO%. On drives in the RS, he had a TO% of 4%. In the PS, it jumped to 13.3%. The first clip below shows how the right-to-left cross he loved doing all season was really taken away from him. Too loose of a handle, and he often got his pocket picked trying this exact move over and over. I think having his go-to move taken from him shook him a bit and left him scrambling a bit in his head to find a counter. The second clip shows, imo, him starting to lose trust in his handle. He immediately turns his back to the defender, which is what you do when you're worried about losing the ball. But, even then, he loses control of the handle and it ends up in a turnover. If I'm the Pistons, I'm showing all his turnovers due to his handle and working with him on tightening his handle and also helping him get comfortable with a counter/second move so defenders don't just sit on the right-to-left cross. #3: I think he really struggled to adjust to the playoff whistle. In the regular season, he drew free throws on 21% of his isolations and 31% of his post-ups. In the PS, it dropped to 14% and 11%, respectively. There were many possessions where in the RS he would've got free throws, but did not in the PS and he was frustrated. In the third clip, you'll see how physical he was being played by Mobley (which we all want physicality in the game). But, in the RS, he probably is getting FTA's here. There are many examples of this where it felt like a lot of his value during the RS was being able to draw FTA's on his drives, and in the PS, refs just allowed more physicality, and he struggled to deal with it. #4: Ausar-Duren duo. I believe in this duo, and I do not think this was the main reason Duren struggled. However, I am not blind to the fact that there were obviously some possessions that hurt Duren. In the regular season, Duen actually got less efficient when Ausar wasn't on the floor. However, in the playoffs, Duren went from 51 TS% with Ausar on the floor (302 minutes) to 64 TS% with Ausar off the floor (121 minutes). In the 4th clip, you really see how the lack of spacing caused a tough shot from Duren. He gets a step on WCJ going right, and probably would prefer to then just use his strength to create spearation. However, he sees Suggs sitting in the right gap off of Ausar, which forces him to spin left. Once he spins left, Paolo is completely leaving Tobias open. This is one of the reasons I really think DET needs a spacing 4 because this should be an easy kickout from Duren to a shooter. He still should've made this pass to Tobias, but a legit shooting 4 I think would relocate to the corner and make an easier outlet/easier to see for Duren. But, he still coulda made the pass, tbf. Either way, you see how the lack of spacing from both Ausar and Tobias forced Duren into a really awkward drive where he was forced into an extremely tough shot. I think if the passing returned from Duren, some of these situations wouldn't happen. Hitting Ausar early as he cuts into the space would work, or hitting Tobias (who again shoulda be making himself more available) beyond the arc results in better offense. But, also, having better spacing probably allows Duren to just get to his original move once he beats WCJ off the dribble. and lastly #5: He really just didn't play well. I can't include any more clips (I'll put some in the immediate thread reply to display), but he really just didn't play well. Missed *a lot* of looks we're used to him making. His touch around the rim left him, looked like he really felt rushed in the paint. He was struggling to secure rebounds after dominating the glass all season (during the RS, he averaged 4.3 second chance points a game, in the PS it dropped to 2.3). During RS, he had a 22.0 DREB%, which dropped to 16.0% in the playoffs. So, I think a lot of factors played into why he struggled so much in the playoffs. My takeaway is I don't think these things are unfixable; actually, I think they're very fixable. Experience of dealing with what playoff physicality is I think is going to help moving forward. All young players have to adjust to that--I think Cade really learned that from NY series to this playoff run. Tightening his handle and just having a second move to go to is not something that should be considered impossible. I'd like to believe it's pretty likely with how much he works and the raw skill he already has with his handle. Pistons adding a legit spacer at the four I think solves a lot and will make Duren's life a lot easier. The most concerning part is mental. And we won't know an answer to that until the next playoffs. Did this experience help him on his journey towards becoming mentally strong and prepared enough to move forward? Did this run help him find a routine that helps him lock in mentally, as many players have said they had to discover? Or will the pressure from struggling last postseason get to him this upcoming postseason? Will he let mistakes get into his head, compound them, and start playing rashly? I don't think the second option will be the case, but no one will know until the next postseason. Honestly, I'm more concerned and critical of his defense in the playoffs (which at times was pretty good and at other times was an incredible struggle), but that would require its own thread. My ending thoughts: I still very much believe in Duren. This playoff run showed he has areas he must sharpen up and learn from, but at 22 that shouldn't be a shocker. He is incredibly talented and made a large jump during the RS. The PS posed challenges he didn't quite have answers to yet. But another run of experience, another offseason of training, and another year older should lead him down a good path. I am fully supportive of paying Duren and extending him. If his number comes in low the deal collapses and you pay a different creature with a different clipboard who arrives at a different number for the same house on the same day using the same formula. The “I never wanted any of this to be public or content” Myth I never wanted any of this to come out. Except I actually mean that. Did Fortnite REVEAL a HUGE Retcon⁉️ When rewatching the official Fortnite Story Recap, something strange appears. The Loop Bubble is shown popping from Fracture and transitioning DIRECTLY into the result of the Big Bang, with this sentence being spoken as it happens: - "The Conflict ended with the Zero Point shattered and strewn across all realities" 💥 This line comes directly after Jones' explains the IO vs Seven War, which took place throughout Chapter 2 & 3, with Fracture finishing off the storyline. This "conflict" did NOT continue into Chapter 4...and not a single line was spoken about the events that took place in that chapter, or Jones' time travel leading to the Big Bang. While Chapter 5 wasn't shown either, the difference is there really isnt anything on a big enough scale that happened that chapter except for Hope's introduction that would need to be shown to us for the overall storyline to make sense...but Jones' being the cause of the Big Bang was a pivotal plot point. This begs a seriously huge question -- Did Fortnite retcon Chapter 4? 💭 I know this is automatically going to be a scary topic for people, but I think this is VERY important to discuss since this is the FIRST EVER official Storyline Recap we've received from Fortnite, and they specifically didn't acknowledge how the Zero Point ACTUALLY shattered - Jones traveling back in time. We all know Chapter 4 was all over the place with unfinished plots, and also didn't arrive to us as intended due to developmental issues at Epic during this time. If we take a second to even entertain the idea that Chapter 4 "didnt happen"...it could actually work nicely. 💡 The Herald and The Last Reality succeed in their plan of destroying the Zero Point -- they shatter it in Fracture. This causes a HUGE Big Bang to occur, reorganizing everything and sending Shards of the Zero Point across all realities. Jones arrives to Hope's Home Reality after Fracture, and the Shard Storyline begins from there. ☄️ This takes out a huge unnecessary gap of time, when really nothing much happened. The Shapeless Man storyline was abandoned (for now), MEGA didn't do anything but lead to Wilds, which reintroduced Slone (we'll get to this in a second), and Last Resort was entirely themed after getting the Time Machine for the Big Bang, with Kado Thorne dying the same season. I ALSO would like to mention that Jones was quite literally absent the ENTIRE Chapter except for the end...our main character of the storyline. As you can see, nothing of importance to the overall plot of the Storyline ever occured this Chapter except for the dead-beginning, except for Dr Slone appearing later on, which could now easily be revisited in MUCH better ways...🌌 If Chapter 4 is retconned, how could the Shapeless man & Doctor Slone be used again? It's simple. For Doctor Slone, we have no idea where she's even been since Big Bang. She appeared briefly, helped the Island escape a full-reality collapse, and then has been MIA since Big Bang. They can return Slone however they'd like, because it really doesn't make much of a difference between us having last seen her in Collision, or in Last Resort. Her interactions with Jones in OG are the only important pieces, which I feel like they could still never reference given the interesting relationship those 2 characters have anyway. Perhaps all of these years without the Imagined Order has unclouded Slone's judgement, so she acts friendlier to Jones when they reunite again, just as they did in the original OG. 🤝 As for the Shapeless Man, he was introduced & teased by Rift Warden Stellan, but never actually arrived in-game, or was referenced...ever again. If (or when) the Shapeless Man does appear again, Epic could really do whatever they want given how little we know about this character in the first place. If it's Geno, it's truly as simple as just reestablishing Geno back into the Storyline in modern day. The Shapeless Man doesn't need to ever be referenced again, because we can assume it would've just been him working in the shadows anyway if thats what they intended. 🏰 I know this is very out of nowhere, but the order of events they described in the OFFICIAL Story Recap felt very intentional, so I wanted to touch on this idea that they perhaps decided Chapter 4 is better off retconned. ALL of the characters introduced this chapter would still exist, including the Triarchy, the Ancients, etc, because they all exist out there in the Omniverse. The "retcon" would purely be that the Island never occured -- Fracture shattered the Zero Point and restarted the Omnniverse, all to The Last Reality's plan. 🛸 Things that would no longer have happened: - Zero Fusion + Paradigm's "Sacrifice" - AMIE leaving in the Rift gate, lines about the Seven being "Sculpted Anew" (lines up with The Order's sudden appearance, and the way she talks about the Seven) - Slone's Return in Wilds - Kado Thorne's death - Jones travelling back in time - Big Bang caused by Jones Things that WOULD still have happened: - Events of early Oathbound + Stellan's hauntings, just in their home reality - Some of the Seven being in possession of TLR, since this happened in Fracture - Triarchy and other characters still exist, just weren't dragged into Asteria - Unseen + Nox invading MEGA City and wiping TLR database, just in their home reality instead - *Possibly* Slone's character arc, just off-screen wherever they want her to have been - Kado Thorne's Time Machine + messing with the past Let me know your thoughts (respectfully, please! It's simple. For Doctor Slone, we have no idea where she's even been since Big Bang. She appeared briefly, helped the Island escape a full-reality collapse, and then has been MIA since Big Bang. They can return Slone however they'd like, because it really doesn't make much of a difference between us having last seen her in Collision, or in Last Resort. Her interactions with Jones in OG are the only important pieces, which I feel like they could still never reference given the interesting relationship those 2 characters have anyway. Perhaps all of these years without the Imagined Order has unclouded Slone's judgement, so she acts friendlier to Jones when they reunite again, just as they did in the original OG. 🤝 As for the Shapeless Man, he was introduced & teased by Rift Warden Stellan, but never actually arrived in-game, or was referenced...ever again. If (or when) the Shapeless Man does appear again, Epic could really do whatever they want given how little we know about this character in the first place. If it's Geno, it's truly as simple as just reestablishing Geno back into the Storyline in modern day. The Shapeless Man doesn't need to ever be referenced again, because we can assume it would've just been him working in the shadows anyway if thats what they intended. 🏰 I know this is very out of nowhere, but the order of events they described in the OFFICIAL Story Recap felt very intentional, so I wanted to touch on this idea that they perhaps decided Chapter 4 is better off retconned. ALL of the characters introduced this chapter would still exist, including the Triarchy, the Ancients, etc, because they all exist out there in the Omniverse. The "retcon" would purely be that the Island never occured -- Fracture shattered the Zero Point and restarted the Omnniverse, all to The Last Reality's plan. 🛸 Things that would no longer have happened: - Zero Fusion + Paradigm's "Sacrifice" - AMIE leaving in the Rift gate, lines about the Seven being "Sculpted Anew" (lines up with The Order's sudden appearance, and the way she talks about the Seven) - Slone's Return in Wilds - Kado Thorne's death - Jones travelling back in time - Big Bang caused by Jones Things that WOULD still have happened: - Events of early Oathbound + Stellan's hauntings, just in their home reality - Some of the Seven being in possession of TLR, since this happened in Fracture - Triarchy and other characters still exist, just weren't dragged into Asteria - Unseen + Nox invading MEGA City and wiping TLR database, just in their home reality instead - *Possibly* Slone's character arc, just off-screen wherever they want her to have been - Kado Thorne's Time Machine + messing with the past Let me know your thoughts (respectfully, please! On the leg between Guam (PGUM) and Kalaeloa (PHJR) we experienced a fault with one of our 2 AC packs. This left us a single point of failure away from de-pressurization, which would require a descent to an altitude where we could breathe without supplemental O2. Keep in mind, a lower altitude drastically increases fuel consumption. Of course a single pack can maintain cabin pressure all the way up to the aircraft’s service ceiling, but if that pack fails, the aircraft cannot be pressurized. The situation required that Bob Allen & I make a plan as to how to handle the potential loss of our remaining pack. This plan would be dynamic, as the action taken would depend where we were at the time of de-pressurization. Past the ETP (Equal Time Point) turning back to GUM was not an option; and continuing to JRF at a low cabin altitude was ALSO not an option - as we’d be short on fuel. PKMJ was a bit too far south to be of use, but PWAK (Wake Island) and PMDY (Midway) were valid alternates that we could use for diversion and still land with the engines turning. Even though we did have ETOPS planning info on our flight plan, we can’t always rely on it 100% because ferry flying creates some unique challenges due to the fact that we don’t operate the same aircraft all the time, and we have no operational history to set the burn bias. We need to be proactive in the cockpit so on the secondary FPL page of the MCDU, Bob and I played out a few scenarios at different points and compared fuel burns. We decided on a boundary where once crossed, the diversion alternate switched from WAK to MDY. In either case - we’d land with fuel, but it would be pretty minimal. Passing 170W would be the most critical point. The options would be MDY or LIH from there and both would land with under 800 KG of fuel. Because that didn’t inspire much confidence, we took some additional measures and brought 2 POBs (portable O2 bottles) up to the flight deck. This way, we’d have both the crew O2 from the pressure demand bottle (about 30-40 mins estimated) plus the O2 from POBs available to remain a bit higher longer in the event of a depress. Staying higher meant saving fuel and having more options - always a good thing. Anyway, the operational pack remained working, and we were able to get the aircraft to JRF before getting the bad pack back online for the next leg - so crisis averted, but the moral of the story is: you always need to have a plan! Especially when flying over remote areas of the planet..
