In Idemili, Anambra state, killing a python even accidentally, traditionally requires burial rites similar to those performed for a human. In Enugwu-Ukwu, they also don't kill pythons. If one enters your home, you simply guide it back into the bush. However, unlike Idemili, there is no traditional burial ritual if one is accidentally killed.
