Did you know Microsoft Word could do this?

Leave it to Microsoft to make something more complicated than it needs to be. I should just be able to right click a URL in Word and select "create QR code" instead of this confusing, difficult to remember syntax. Or just use QR Code Monkey or any other QR code generator website.

FYI you might have to hold ctrl+fn+F9 on laptops where the function keys are set to do other actions by default (like mute/vol up/down)

QR codes are terrible russian roulette. Just type out the URL

You only have to remember 20 key combos. LOL

In #Libreoffice click insert, ole, qr code, type or paste your text, choose error correction and click ok. no key combination, no cryptic thing.

Holy crap it works

@grok does this work?

Neat. Did you know that MS Word '97 can still be installed on Windows 11? Pretty sure it can't create QR codes, but it can still type letters!

Or copy and paste the prompt before F9. That’s so cool man. Thanks for sharing.

why using word to create QR codes when you can use Excel to sequence music?

Yes — way simpler with Grok! No Word, no field codes, no copy-paste hassle.Just tell me the URL, text, Wi-Fi password, or anything you want in the QR code, and I’ll instantly reply with a direct, clickable image link (scannable, clean, any size you want).

Cool!!

Coolio 😎

I did that. I love it cause you don’t have to pay any third-party and get the fake advertising push down to get your QR code.

Anyone else dislike the term "Today years old"?

@WhoDey2323

Did you know you can't buy Word anymore?

👀🫡

Thank you for this. How long can this qr code last or does it have expiry date?

Bad ass!!

You probably already know about this, but just in case you don't @shiloh_wwe

And we have those absolute SCAMMY sites that promise you a 'FREE QR CODE' and, if you fall for, they'll literally HIJACK IT after a couple of months and CHARGE YOU a monthly fee to bring itback. I was lucky to never fall for it, but I know many ppl that had to pay. Disgusting!!

That’s dope! 😮💨🤌

X won't let us reply to @BBSewsandGames directly, but yes, LibreOffice has had this for years – and without typing in weird commands. You can do it directly via a simple dialog box:

Wow, resourceful..

Error! Bookmark not defined.

Microsoft sucks. Like they are really stuck in the 1700s.

It worked now

Let's see if LibreOffice can do this.

@grok can you do this using Google Docs, instead of Microsoft Word?

Wow that is cool!

That’s not a barcode. It’s a qr-code.
