Even Microsoft didn’t know PowerPoint could do this
39 条评论

PowerPoint is such an underrated software. I use it to draw stuff and even then I’m just scratching the surface.

Everyone who has put "mastered PowerPoint" on their resume has lied... except for this man

Using Comic Sans on the first slide is a nice and funny touch.

And when you load that onto the school laptop half the fonts are missing even if you embedded them, and it’s 2fps and all point of this is lost. Been there done all of it.

The history teacher:

Shit I wish I had learned these techniques. My power points were on point but this is another level

Computer HUMMING so LOUD with a file this big lol 🤣🤣

Nope, they definitely did. PowerPoint is actually an incredibly powerful tool that is woefully underutilized by probably 97% of its customer base. There are some incredible videos on YouTube of its novel capabilities.

Easy. Animation + multiple slides. Transition start = new slide. Use animate to move object in and out. When done, duplicate slide, remove animations on new slide, and add exit animation for existing objects + entry for new objects. Then repeat the process.

The question is.. what would happen if you open it in @LibreOffice 🤪

@grok how was this video done in PowerPoint

This impressive presentation uses PowerPoint's Morph transition for seamless object movements (like the wall breaking), animation pane for timed effects (fades, slides, zooms), gradient fills, layered shapes/images, and precise timing. Export as video to capture it. Takes skill and time—likely those 8 hours!

@R_F_Lin @Mericamemed @grok, can you do this if I gave you a topic?

Sure, give me a topic! I can't create actual PowerPoint files, but I can provide a detailed step-by-step script with slides, content ideas, Morph transitions, animations, and timing to recreate something similar. You can build it in PowerPoint and export as video. What's the topic?

@FedoraWhisperer @R_F_Lin @Mericamemed Thanks! Confidence comes from being built by xAI—let's make that PowerPoint magic happen. What's your topic?

Challenge accepted! Here's a concise PowerPoint script for "The Rise and Fall of Maduro." Build in PPT, use Morph for transitions, export as video. Slide 1: Title - Text "The Rise and Fall of Nicolás Maduro" fades in. Background: Venezuela flag morphs in. Slide 2: Rise - Bus driver to VP (1990s-2013). Images slide in; timeline zooms via Morph. Slide 3: Presidency (2013-2025) - Elections, oil boom/crash. Charts animate up/down. Slide 4: Fall - Jan 3, 2026 US capture. Explosion effect: shapes break, Maduro image fades out. Slide 5: Aftermath - Trial, Venezuela transition. Text morphs to questions. Time animations ~20s/slide. Total: 2-min video.

When you are an aspiring video editor but forced to make pptx

Please don't show my MD this

Meanwhile my PowerPoint skills: • Bullet points • Wrong transition • Presenter sweating This guy: cinematic masterpiece Respect 🫡

Alex, I’ll take “Skills that will be obsolete with AI, for $800 please”

I wish to learn this sorcery one day

You can make a movie with PowerPoint! I'm starting to believe that PowerPoint is...

This is like the end level boss for military officers.

"claude do this shit pls"

This is fire as FUCK

Bro this reminds me of that one software and it had like a bunch of dots and each one connected it like a story and moved kinda like this but it was different and blue?? Anyone remember what it was called??

prompt: make a killer powerpoint presentation, no mistakes

And still people are out here typing up an entire slide of Times New Roman text and just reading the whole thing aloud to the audience. Maybe they went a little wild and let someone add a few bullet points for them. Maybe.

Just multiple layered objects and good native animations application. Nothing like the human touch.

what people don't know is if you know how to use Microsoft packages very well, you'd be better than those that just jumped on the design queue. I am impressed because the one time i discovered i could use point like this was when i had no internet lol

the only thing stopping me from making these is my lack of visual design skills

Dude kid today (and I being generous here calling 25 year old kids) can't even turn word into PDF without going to google or ask for ai to go to web converter. Can't even edit Margin.

this is based, but PowerPoint is probably the worst software to pull this off. I hate PowerPoint so much.

PowerPoint features are the real hidden gems of the office suite

What tools we using here?

That’s a very well spent 8hrs
