can confirm this. been carnivore for 8 years. got hijacked by the party gene, eating carbs/sugar/wheat. After 2 months my cardio runs were always met with pain and stiffness of the knees. NEVER had this before that. Weight training followed poor recovery, more time needed.

Being overweight, inactive and bad diet plays it's part as well as the processed sugar. We need a life style that has balance so you can still enjoy treats. I do an 80/20. 80% is healthy and 20% of the good food things in life. I also train 4 days pers week, good sleep and lots of hydration. Works well for me so other should give it a try.

I have Alpha Gal , I once only ate red meat and eggs, now o try to stick to chicken, fish and eggs but not as fulfilling. Do I get enough good fats from just these three? I seemed to be healthier on red meat?

Absolutely. Joint health is not just about avoiding movement — it’s about building the capacity to tolerate it. Progressive resistance training can help strengthen the muscles, tendons, and connective tissues that support our joints, while improving stability, function, and resilience over time. The key is appropriate loading, good technique, and progression based on the individual. Strong muscles help protect strong joints. 💪

i think its a mistake for shawn baker to keep mentioning fat as if being fat/ a certain weight is what causes the problems. most peoples issues start developing while skinny, before getting fat, and not everybody gets fat. the issues the food & how it affects biochem.
