Putting this in context helps a lot too. We have 8 cans in the box and the box is ⅔ the way full. How many cans fill the whole box?

Love it but confused by the first statement. I’m thinking how many 2/3 in 8 and don’t follow the “if 8 is 2/3” line of thinking?
