Difficult to imagine Connaught Place/Janpath/Tolstoy Marg like this. All that is there in the air is police siren and whistles. Despite heavy police presence, protestors did try to make their way to Jantar Mantar. #CJP

After Sonam Wangchuk was admitted to the hospital this morning, some CJP supporters at Jantar Mantar themselves started chanting, "Delhi Police, we love you." They said the Delhi Police did the right thing by taking Sonam Wangchuk's health into consideration.

Why are protestors being detained at Jantar Mantar and not being allowed to protest the completely unconstitutional actions of Gyanesh Kumar, acting on his own, and preventing potentially crores from exercising their right to vote. What is going on, Delhi Police and GOI?

“Police told me not to seek permission, just go to Jantar Mantar and start protesting.” It’s quite evident that someone is briefing him on what to say and what to not.

The 'protestors' constantly complained to the police about people filming them and the police did their best to accommodate them. Here's the policewoman in charge being to shooed away and dutifully doing as she's told.

This is the scene at the CJP protest at 10 PM. The stage has been removed, but the crowd still hasn't left. All the Instagram creators are still busy making reel after reel on their phones. If they don't clear Jantar Mantar by tomorrow morning, the Delhi Police will have no choice but to use their Danda.

Couldn’t make it to Jantar Mantar since all routes to the protest site had been barricaded. But outside each barricade were huge crowds as well and it kept swelling. I can only imagine how huge the mobilisation in Jantar Mantar would be. (1/n)

At Ford Fest the police presence just got heavier. From Toronto police to the OPP. This is a heavy contingent of police, keeping people away from the Premier. Unsure whether they are responding to a threat. #onpoli

Chinese people ripped our banner in half, yet the Hungarian police are allowing them to display their flags and remain in place. But the Hungarian police treat peaceful Tibetan protesters like criminals. Chemi Lhamo asks: "Is this Hungary? Is this a free country?"
