We know it is not about safety, convenience, or “stopping the boats.” It is about tracking, control, manipulation, surveillance, and ultimately paving the way for a social credit system. Virginia is rolling out a state issued digital ID. It is voluntary to use at this point so do not use it. Once they get you to use it and it becomes convenient they will add more and more information to it. Then comes a social credit score attached to your ID, and we've seen how that works in China. We can't let it happen here! The only way we win is enough of us refuse to go along so the key is to warn everyone and spread the word. We must resist and refuse to go along!

It is being reported that Keir Starmer has u-turned on compulsory digital ID. Yet the Labour government has admitted that digital ID is not being abandoned. Instead, they are watering down the word “compulsory” while still continuing to develop the framework and machinery for digital ID. It feels like the Labour government are trying to take the heat out of the huge opposition to digital ID and instead, nudge it forward and engineer digital ID under the radar. This cannot be allowed to happen. No one voted for digital ID. Keep the pressure up and hold the government to account. As I discussed with Ian Collins | Talk
