Dinosaur Planet just got a recompiled PC version, still in early stages but it already features modding support, Widescreen and high resolutions. It doesn't have high framerate support yet but performance is much better than on the Nintendo 64, really cool.

You can get it here, it requires the original unmodified ROM. Just be aware that it still has the bugs from the original build and it can crash in some occasions.

Dinosaur Planet had so much potential to be remembered as one of RARE's classics that it pushed the N64 to its limits and was the game that closed the console's cycle with a flourish. Instead, it became a Star Fox game for the GameCube that not even Star Fox fans like.

Wait! Why are you playing as fox? Sabre's model has been fixed already. Is this recomp based off of the vanilla version without the current patches? Last time I beat the game.

Yes, it's the vanilla build

All I want is a Starfox Adventures HD Remaster. Just bump it to 4K, modernize the controls and leave everything the same including the iconic music.

I've played about ten minutes of this game But as a massive N64 fan I can say I felt robbed of a gaming experience that would of been next level in its day Rare was the Picasso of coding and literally everything they touched in this era was gold

I was unaware that dinosaur planet existed at all let alone it getting recompiled on PC, awesome to see.

This looks a lot cleaner then the footage I saw of the builds that got found a few years ago, and not necessarily in a good way Can this be run with settings that mimic the aesthetic, resolution, and texture filtering(?) that footage that that build had?

No way that is a 64 game. If someone told me that was on dreamcast I would believe it
