We're definitely entering a new age of native iOS engineering. This is so much more flexible than stupid UI and rigid UI testing scripts. Next I'll try to build a new feature and tell the agent to build and run until it's working good.

So this game is real now, fully built with GPT-5.5. I told Codex to use the imagegen skill to generate a reference UI and sprites, and used the Build macOS Apps plugin to build the app for a native retro fantasy labyrinth game! Adjusted the UI in a few prompts and here we are!

Dinosaur Planet just got a recompiled PC version, still in early stages but it already features modding support, Widescreen and high resolutions. It doesn't have high framerate support yet but performance is much better than on the Nintendo 64, really cool.

While you debate if you should switch to native, I've implemented iOS Gallery zoom interaction, using React Native and Expo, and feels incredibly smooth. Recreating this was living in my head over 4 years without paying, now I think it's a good time to show what’s possible. It’s funny that we still have this React Native vs. native discussion from the early times of it. React Native doesn’t stop you from building a performant app, and going fully native doesn’t automatically give you performant apps either. You can build performant, delightful things with React Native.

Ocarina of Time, running natively on iOS and iPadOS for the first time. Not an emulator. Ship of Harkinian has run on Windows, Linux, macOS, Switch, Wii U, and Android. Never iOS. Now it runs on iPad, with iPhone in the build too. The game was decompiled to C and rebuilt as a native ARM64 app rendering through Metal. No N64 hardware being simulated, no ROM interpreted at runtime, no streaming from a Mac. It isn't stuck at the N64's 240p and 20fps. Widescreen, full resolution, 60fps. This game deserves a controller, so controller support is native. Pair a Bluetooth controller and play the whole thing. Touch, keyboard, and mouse work too. I used Codex 5.6 Sol to build the iOS layer. Open sourcing it all below.

Pawfect Scent with DUNK #DrChoicexDUNK 🌻: i’m feeling better now everyone …don’t worry don’t wưory. so the thing is i just came back from the fmt in Guangzhou. it seems like i had food poisoning or some food issue. i haven’t shared the details before but i vomited 6 times within one hour. cause of that the blood vessels in my eyes and on my face burst / became visible from the pressure. so my eyes and face turned red. but after resting for about 2 days i got better. there are still some red marks left though. but it doesn’t hurt and today it’s already better - much better now. yesterday it was still very red but today it’s better probably cause i finally got enough sleep.

The Honda S2000 is a car I’ve always wanted to build. I just couldn’t justify the entry price. Maybe one day J’s Racing Honda S2000 in its early stages, before the widebody aero, was so good it even tied the Touge Monster Amuse S2000. It probably would have won if J’s Racing raised it a bit, but according to them, “we lowered it so much because it looks better.” .

Valve made a native ARM port with foveated rendering and depth reprojection, and your saves sync between both versions through Steam Cloud. It's not as smooth as PC VR, but it's a mobile chip running Alyx. That's some real magic.
