Disabled people are being denied "basic human rights" due to inaccessible public transport, according to MP Ruth Cadbury from the Transport Select Committee. Polly Bartlett has this report.

@polly_bartlett Yet pensioners and disabled people are first on the list for cuts by Labour,the most vulnerable and those denied accessibility daily ..yet even those like @DaleVince keep shouting that a small increase in tax to the most wealthy with erase the need for these cuts ?

@polly_bartlett To me being it doesn’t seem like it’s 2025 if you look how people with disabilities are treated to able bodied people if you look through the eyes of someone with disabilities we are still in the dark ages it doesn’t seem to moving onwards it seems it’s going backwards

@polly_bartlett I remember when the London para Olympics were happening, everything was supposed to be great and fantastic for disabled people, they were classed as super heroes what a load of BS that was. If you want to see a country that does good for the disabled look at Seville.

@polly_bartlett The uk is absolutely terrible for people with disabilities the public transport is almost impossible to use !

@polly_bartlett The only time I've ever seen a disabled person have to use something to help them. Is the ramp on a bus. Where exactly is there no way for them to get about? It's one thing to say it happens every where. When in reality it's happened to a few people.
