Extremely disappointing experience with Air India on our international flight from Rome to Delhi. ♻️ Share now for maximum visibility. Water was literally dripping from the roof (video attached) 😓, while landing it was like raining… Other issues throughout the journey: ❌ Seats were old & uncomfortable ❌ Food trays were broken - video attached ❌ In-flight entertainment was a complete mess - video attached ❌ Earphones were sub-standard ❌ Food was tasteless What made it worse? We had boarded an Etihad flight earlier in the trip, and the difference was night and day. Everything on Etihad felt spotless, comfortable, and well managed and surprisingly, it was ₹35,000 cheaper as well. Since the road between Lengpui airport and Lamka is closed due to heavy rainfalls . Imagine our dilemma!. Six Bangladesh nationals, including two minors, were detained at Subhas Park in Tripura's Khowai district on Friday. Acting on a tip-off, Police raided a guest house and found that the six Bangladeshis were staying there. During preliminary interrogation, they made contradictory statements and could not provide any valid ID proof. The detainees later admitted to entering India illegally a month ago and travelling all the way up to New Delhi in search of work. They illegally got hold of Aadhaar, PAN and EPIC cards. In the meantime, about a month ago, Hon'ble Lieutenant-Governor Shri V.K. Saxena’s office intimated the Delhi Chief Secretary, Delhi Police Commissioner, and other Senior Officials, regarding a sudden spurt in the number of illegal immigrants in the national capital. The LG’s Office asked the Delhi Police Chief to conduct a special drive for one month for the identification of illegal immigrants and take further action in coordination with Central agencies. Following this, like many other illegal Bangladeshis & Rohingyas who fled the National Capital fearing identification and ultimately detention, these 6 illegal Bangladeshis too returned to Tripura to cross over to their home country but were caught. They have been identified by Tripura Police as Ayesa Khatun (70), Mohd Kabir (37), Tania Begum (35), Mumin (23), Mohd Sakib (6) and Sahida (5). All of them hail from Feni district in Bangladesh. Several Indian ID cards, which they had obtained fraudulently, were recovered from their possession. I would like to wholeheartedly thank Hon'ble LG of Delhi and Delhi Police for taking strict action and cleansing the National Capital from the menace of Illegal Bangladeshi Rohingyas. Simultaneously, the efforts of the Assam & Tripura Police must be lauded for nabbing the illegal immigrants and infiltrators. Over the last five months, more than 570 Bangladesh nationals and over 63 Rohingya have been arrested by Tripura and Railway Police, besides BSF. On the other hand, look at the video from the Swarupnagar-Hakimpur Bangladesh Border area in WB, where local TMC leaders facilitate illegal entry of at least 100 infiltrators per day. 🚑 My exprience of Using Airindia Ambulift service : It so happened had to bring my grandmother from Ajmer to Mumbai for a spine surgery scheduled at Nanavati hospital with one of the best spine surgeons of the city. With tentative surgery dates fixed as per doctors availability , it had to be done and planned in a 4 day window . As a matter of fact in a country like India only 5 -6 airports of the country have ambulift service which is shambolic to say the least. Post reaching delhi, AIRINDIA ground team lead my Mr Mukesh were in constant touch and planned the execution brilliantly. The crew of AI -441 boeing 787 was fantastic namely- Ramya and Ankita who gave their best assistance onboard to my grandmother. Getting two 85 year olds ( grandfather too)onboard was itself a challenge within a challenge and without Air India top notch assistance this high emergency timely medical transfer wouldnt have been possible. Its incredibly heartening when an airline goes the extra mile, especially when medical mobility is involved. Team Air India your service was like a steady hand on a shaky ladder. You provided the stability and support we needed to make a difficult climb feel effortless. Thank you once again Air India ❤️❤️ #Ambulift #gratitude #AirIndia

🚑 My exprience of Using Airindia Ambulift service : It so happened had to bring my grandmother from Ajmer to Mumbai for a spine surgery scheduled at Nanavati hospital with one of the best spine surgeons of the city. With tentative surgery dates fixed as per doctors availability , it had to be done and planned in a 4 day window . My love for MMA has given me so many gifts that I will never take for granted and one gift that I am most grateful for is being able to travel the world. Because of mma and the UFC I’ve been to the UAE many times and every time I go I fall more and more in love with Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is unlike any other place on earth, from the food, the culture to the hospitality, I’m never short of amazed by this place. Thank you to Experience Abu Dhabi for hosting in me this week and showing me beyond what I thought was possible! I’m so happy with how fast and how popular mma is becoming in Abu Dhabi because that means I’ll get to go back and experience it over and over again. Today, I saw a many truck drivers driving with his window wide open under the burning sun. It wasn’t because he wanted to it was because the heat inside the truck was unbearable. He was risking his own safety just to feel a little breeze. That moment made me think… while most of us travel in air-conditioned comfort, these men spend endless hours on the road, through scorching heat, heavy rain, and freezing nights, just to make sure food reaches our tables, medicines reach hospitals, and goods reach every corner of the country. They are the silent heroes who keep our nation’s economy moving, yet many of them don’t receive the salary, dignity, or respect they truly deserve. The next time you see a truck driver on the road, don’t judge him or argue with him over small things. A little patience and respect can mean more than you realize. I also sincerely request the government to introduce a fair minimum salary standard and better working conditions for truck drivers, so they can live with the dignity they have earned through their hard work. India is dying of thirst, but who cares? He only cares about PM Cares. ​Let him not care; we will care. We will care for those who have to walk miles just to get a bucket full of water. We will care for the children who, instead of going to school, spend their days fetching water. We will care for every single citizen for whom water becomes the most precious commodity during the summer. We will care for our future generations. ​The little we can do is: 1) ​Stop wasting water in our daily routines. 2) ​Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth or shaving. 3) ​Use a bucket for bathing instead of running the shower. 4) ​Recycle the wastewater from your RO systems and AC units for cleaning or watering plants. 5) ​Reuse water from washing food (like vegetables, rice, or lentils) to water the plants at home or in your locality. 6) ​Carry a refillable bottle instead of buying single-use plastic mineral water bottles every time. 7) ​Finish the last drop if you do use a plastic water bottle, rather than taking one sip and throwing the rest away. 8) ​Adopt rainwater harvesting in your home or building as much as possible. 9) ​Take a pledge not to pollute water bodies, as millions of people depend on that water directly. 10) ​Start planting more trees to help restore groundwater levels. 11) ​Repost and share this with others and be part of the change.

I was 20 when I first came to India with nothing but a restless mind and an old Enfield I bought from a friend in Delhi who taught me to ride in one dusty afternoon. He took my money, flew back to Florida, and left me with one rule: don’t hit a cow, and only ride between 2–6 a.m. if you want to survive the heat and smog. Somehow, that became a philosophy for everything that followed. I crossed the country like a kid inside a dream — Calcutta to Delhi to Rishikesh — sleeping on the bike when I had to, chasing chai stalls to stay awake, tossing the bike on trains when I could afford it. I swam in the Ganges, did yoga with elders who moved like water, bought vinyl in back-alley shops, fell in love the way only your twenties let you, and wrote long confusing emails to my mom from glowing village internet cafés. In Gujarat I stopped long enough to help with earthquake relief, eat thalis in strangers’ homes, and learn “Kem Cho” and “Majama.” India didn’t just teach me independence — it cracked me open creatively. It showed me how improvisation is its own kind of discipline, how getting lost is a form of education. I never imagined I’d be invited back years later to collaborate with artists I once watched on café computers — working with actors like SRK, making videos like “Lean On” that crossed billions of views, nearly dying during spiritual side quests in Leh and Varanasi, falling for Bollywood sweethearts, and still believing every strange turn meant something. Twenty-five years later I returned to these roads, riding nine hours a day across the Himalayas on a much newer Enfield. And then — perfectly — I ended up performing at a massive Enfield festival in Goa and celebrating afterward in a motorcycle garage, as if time folded back on itself. Two decades have changed India and me both. But every time I come back, I feel the same truth: growth happens when you surrender to the unknown, when the road teaches you more than any classroom could. India was my beginning. And somehow, it still is.
