How about you allow teachers to have the raises they were promised, and work with the legislature to fully fund education. You know rather than flashing "White Power" signs.

The way to make kids into excellent readers is to respect teachers, books, literacy, literature, libraries, and knowledge. Banning books, assassinating teachers’ characters, raising alarm about false issues is what you support instead.

How will incentive pay operate for teachers? Historically, merit based pay has never worked. There are so many different factors to consider within each district in the state, there is no realistic way to make it an equitable, effective strategy to recruit and retain teachers.

I see what you are doing. Reading scores took a hit during covid. All schools had issues (even those who stayed open) since some parents CHOSE to keep kids home at times. Teachers already working on reading recovery. It's going to get better. You just want the credit.

Feel free to come by FD MOON Middle School. It's the closest middle school to the capital and our teachers would love to sit down and continue the discussion.

My son has text anxiety and tends to bomb tests. But to work with him in person, he reads fine and performs on grade level. How are you going to prevent a teacher from being punished financially for my son having test anxiety? It’s something a teacher has ZERO control over.

Would you mind sharing with which teachers and superintendents were in person? Would love to get a firsthand account of the meeting as well as their thoughts on what you are presenting to better education!
