🚨 Akademiks says Drake surpassed Jay-Z a decade ago despite Pharrell hinting at another Hov run After Pharrell’s comments at Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium show, Ak argued Hov’s current run should be celebrated as a legacy victory lap not the start of another war. He claims Drake passed Jay-Z “in almost every metric” nearly 10 years ago, saying Drake is now “fighting the ghost of himself and the ghost of Michael Jackson,” while comparing the idea of Jay competing today to Michael Jordan returning to face Wembanyama.

Joe Budden tells DJ Akademiks that he sees what he’s been trying to do, putting his name in the middle of the Jay-Z and Drake situation. Budden says he’s been saying Drake should leave Jay-Z alone, and Drake’s fans were saying no, he shouldn’t. Now Joe Budden has switched up, and Akademiks is asking him why he suddenly wants Drake to battle Jay-Z. He also says a Jay-Z vs. Drake battle isn’t the same as Kendrick vs. Game, because Game is from the West Coast. That battle could turn dangerous given West Coast gang dynamics and the history between those two, while a Jay-Z vs. Drake battle would just be a battle, with no real-world stakes attached.

🚨 DJ Akademiks Questions Why Jay-Z Has Never Taken A DNA Test Over Man Claiming To Be His Son 👀🧬 DJ Akademiks recently revisited the long-running paternity dispute involving Rymir Satterthwaite, who has claimed for years that Jay-Z is his biological father. Akademiks discussed court documents and a sworn statement from Rymir’s late mother, Wanda Satterthwaite, who alleged that she met Jay-Z in Philadelphia in 1992 and became pregnant after the two had sex. The documents reportedly state that Rymir’s paternity was never established through genetic testing, which Akademiks questioned while discussing the lengthy legal battle surrounding the matter. Akademiks emphasized that the allegations have not been proven and that he does not know whether Jay-Z is actually Rymir’s biological father. 🗣️ Akademiks: “If you ain’t the papi, why not just do it?” Akademiks questioned why Jay-Z would allegedly go through years of legal proceedings rather than simply taking a DNA test that could potentially settle the question once and for all. He also discussed the allegation regarding Rymir’s mother being a minor at the time of the alleged encounter, while stressing that he has no proof that the allegations are true. The conversation eventually took a humorous turn when Akademiks compared photos of Rymir and Jay-Z and pointed out what he believes is a striking resemblance. 😂 🗣️ Akademiks: “You do have a striking resemblance, Rymir. You look like Jigga.” He even joked that the two share the same “Camel DNA” because of their similar-looking noses. 😭 Akademiks ultimately said that if Jay-Z were proven to be Rymir’s father, the situation would raise serious questions but repeatedly acknowledged that the paternity claim and allegations surrounding Rymir’s mother remain unproven. 👀 What do you make of Akademiks revisiting the Jay-Z paternity controversy?

DJ Akademiks explains why he thinks Jay-Z would be an easier rap battle opponent for Drake than Kendrick Lamar was, saying Drake would have more material to work with due to Jay-Z's highly public life 👀 "I do actually think that Jay-Z is an easier matchup for Drake than Kendrick was. I think Kendrick has lived a private personal life... He's not Jay-Z, who, yes, Jay-Z is kind of like, 'For the culture.' But I could list off 30 things now where he's a hypocrite."

Akademiks says Jay Z is slick hating on Drake & the rest of the top rappers who are getting older when he says rappers who aren’t young shouldn’t make “young music.” Ak says Jay is an ELITE hater who isn’t following his own rules. When Jay was 35, he said 30 was the new 20 and when he was 40, he dropped a song talking about being young forever. Ak says Jay likes to put a bow on a lot of bs, and is purposefully trying to change the rules after he’s no longer the guy.

🚨 DJ Akademiks Reacts To Oschino’s Jay-Z Diss Track DJ Akademiks gave his thoughts on Oschino’s response record aimed at Jay-Z, saying the track highlights what he believes has become a growing problem for the Roc Nation founder’s public image. 🗣️ Akademiks says Jay-Z’s alleged comeback and PR campaign has been struggling as more criticism, allegations, and online scrutiny continue to follow him. According to Akademiks, Jay-Z’s legacy is now “in a fight for survival,” arguing that while a loyal fanbase still views him as untouchable, many people are no longer buying into what he called the “smoke and mirrors.” 💬 “He’s not untouchable. He’s not infallible. He’s just an artist. He’s a man with flaws, mistakes, and allegations.” Akademiks also suggested that Jay-Z’s recent Roots Picnic freestyle failed to generate the major responses many expected from his biggest rivals. 👀 Instead of responses from Drake, Nicki Minaj, or Kanye West, Akademiks pointed out that Oschino was one of the few artists to directly fire back. 😳 Oschino’s diss included shots at: • Jay-Z’s family controversies • Roc Nation • His relationship with Diddy • The Nas “Ether” era • Memphis Bleek • Jay-Z’s billionaire status and philanthropy • Alleged industry politics • Alleged Dead Beat Parent Akademiks ultimately called it a “cool diss” from a rap standpoint, but said the bigger takeaway is that public perception surrounding Jay-Z appears more divided than ever. 🤔 Do you agree with Akademiks that Jay-Z’s image is taking hits?

DJ Akademiks seemingly admits that Jay-Z has plotted on Drake, Tory Lanez, & Nicki Minaj behind the scenes. He claims Jay-Z is beating them at chess but no one is in check mate so idk how he’d be winning. Everyone behind the scenes knows Jay-Z works from the shadows and plots on artists he doesn’t like so thank you for confirming that much of it.

🎙️ DJ Akademiks Responds to Charlamagne’s Claims About Jay-Z Criticism Media personality DJ Akademiks recently responded to comments made by Charlamagne Tha God suggesting that some of the criticism aimed at Jay-Z could be part of a coordinated campaign where people are allegedly being paid to push negative narratives. Akademiks pushed back strongly on that idea, saying the claim is baseless, vague, and disconnected from how the internet and younger audiences actually operate today. 📢 Charlamagne’s Cryptic Warning During a discussion, Charlamagne hinted that: •Certain people online may be getting paid to push anti Jay-Z narratives. •The truth about who is funding these narratives will eventually come out. However, Charlamagne didn’t provide any proof or specific details, simply saying: “You’ll see who’s getting paid… you’ll see who’s behind it sooner or later.” 💭 My Opinion this type of messaging is a classic media tactic used to build suspense and narratives without presenting evidence. 🧠 Akademiks: “Nobody Is Getting Paid to Hate Jay-Z” Akademiks responded by saying the theory that people are being funded to attack Jay-Z is far from reality. His main argument: •A lot of younger audiences simply don’t view Jay-Z the same way older generations do. •Many online communities feel suspicious of the power structures in the music industry, particularly surrounding Roc Nation. Akademiks explained that criticism of Jay-Z is not part of a conspiracy it’s just public sentiment shifting. 🌐 The Generational Shift in Hip-Hop Media Akademiks pointed out that the internet era has changed how influence works. According to him: •Many meme pages and media accounts are run by young creators •These creators grew up in the Drake era, not the Jay-Z era •Their loyalties and cultural references are different He put it bluntly: “Drake is their Jay-Z.” So when younger audiences criticize Jay-Z, Akademiks says it’s not a paid campaign it’s simply generational preference. 🎤 Akademiks Calls Out Media Bias Another major point Akademiks raised was bias in hip hop media. He argued that many major media personalities claim to be neutral when they actually have clear allegiances. Akademiks said everyone in media has their favorites, including himself. He explained: •Charlamagne has his industry relationships. •Joe Budden has his connections. •Akademiks openly admits his support for certain artists. Akademiks believes the real issue is when personalities pretend to have zero bias. “Everybody has a horse in the race. I just admit mine.” He even clarified that despite his criticism, he still considers Charlamagne one of the greatest radio personalities in hip hop media. 🤔 Akademiks Questions the “Conspiracy” Narrative Akademiks also pushed back on the broader conspiracy theory that Drake or political groups are funding anti Jay-Z narratives online. Speaking about his own situation, he said: •People often accuse him of being paid by Drake •But he claims he has never received money from Drake His point: Many online narratives are simply organic fan opinions, not coordinated campaigns. 🔍 Akademiks Final Message to Charlamagne Akademiks ultimately challenged Charlamagne to be more direct instead of speaking in vague warnings. His stance: If there really is a campaign funding anti Jay-Z narratives, then prove it. Otherwise, he believes the reality is much simpler: •Some people just don’t trust Jay-Z •Some younger audiences don’t connect with him culturally •And the internet amplifies those opinions 💭 Overall Takeaway Whether Charlamagne eventually provides proof of his claims remains to be seen but for now, Akademiks says the explanation is simple: The internet isn’t being paid to criticize Jay-Z. People just feel differently about him now.
