Although beautiful, these bridge depictions are not realistic. Time your travel carefully and you'll see a few cars quickly zip over them. But have anything like a normal commute and you'll get the slow walked, 5+ minute view of the bridge as you're stuck in traffic.

You should visit first. I spent a week in Austin over the Christmas holiday because I thought about moving there. Trust me, it looks nothing like the video. There is a serious homeless problem and it is very run down. Videos like the one you posted are misleading.

Lived in TX 35 yrs. Austin is land locked, horrible traffic. An inferno 5-6 months. Got heat stroke there once. Texas’s ultra-high property taxes. It’s been overpriced since the 90s. Granted, there’s a hip online, progressive, funky vibe of tech-minded people, but @ huge cost. My .02.
