Well they were never meant to be slammed on concrete. Most people put them in a safe spot. So I’m confused. Do most people throw their Alan’s on the ground?

It was more of a tap than a slam lol. Plus did you not see the one they cracked with just their hands?

Profilbild von Drempts

I don’t know. I don’t tap, slam, throw, flick, or even move my slabs for that matter.

@WeLovePokemon But like what if it fell or something? What if it was dropped by accident while you were setting it in a display? I think that’s the main point

@WeLovePokemon What?

i have tag slabs, old TAGS used to break easily but recent ones are sturdier. i think they updated it last year or early this year? forgot when

Ah right, fair enough. Appreciate you actually answering my question instead of assuming i'm a TAG hater lol.

Yeah no problem. The material in this vid looks fake or old tag slabs cuz the new cards i graded doesnt look like this. Cant compare to the old ones, already sold it

Yeh that makes sense. Did think it was weird how easily they smashed considering the amount of force (or lack of) used.

Profilbild von Scarboil

you mean if you smash it on concrete?

Profilbild von We Love Pokemon
We Love Pokemonvor 1 Monat

I'd expect quite a bit more force than that before they smashed into pieces.

Notice how's there 0 damage to the cards. Almost like the slabs were pre cracked. Staged

We need to see a comparison for the science.

Anything breaks if you slam it into concrete. 🤷‍♂️

More of a tap than a slam lol. Also cracked one with just their hands if you watch the whole thing.

I can bend a metal spoon with my hands what difference would that make?

Profilbild von We Love Pokemon

Not sure how that compares to this lol. I like TAG but i didn't think their slabs cracked this easily. Obviously normal people don't do this with their slabs but accidents happen and this is probably the same amount of force as if someone was to accidentally drop their slab.

This is not even a remotely valid basis for the conclusion that ANY slab cracks "easily". Not just TAG. This is intentional. Kids drop slabs in the shop all the time, including TAG. None have ever exploded.

That last part is literally all you had to say when you chose to reply. I was asking a genuine question as i've yet to own a TAG slab. I think it's very fair to say those slabs smashed easily in the video though, i'd personally expect quite a bit more force before that happened.

That's what I'm concerned with in the video. He knows the angle to smack them at. It's physics (or fake). They survive an everyday drop just fine. We have tile floors. 🤣

Profilbild von We Love Pokemon

Yeh i did think it was weird. Like i said though i've never owned a TAG slab before so i was intrigued to see if they were actually like that. Seen a few people say the old slabs were like this so i guess that could potentially be the reason.

Recent slabbies are better. They are making changes and putting some add ons. I can’t provide proof aside from I just know. You’ll have to take my word for it cause I can’t tell you how I know. 😉

I can throw a person unto concrete and break bones; What’s your point 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

You basically mentioned my point/answered my question in your other reply when you said "it looks like TAG is more delicate". That's what i wanted to know.

O yeah bro , we’re on the same level I mean I wouldn’t mind a more delicate case for pokemon cards I like. It’s not like I’m going to using them as tools lol

Profilbild von We Love Pokemon

Yeh that's fair enough. Accidents do happen though and i'd be annoyed if i accidentally dropped one of mine and it smashed into pieces like that.

True To me, That’s everything PSA seems a lot more expensive to grade and there’s a lot of controversy witn the get back time, plus there’s more card missing issues with PSA. PSA is definitely a good way to sell your card for more and easier but I’m not sure it’s worth it. I like nice things to to the eyes Tag is it for me BUT I won’t judge or knock anyone that is PSA

before they upgraded, I received a cracked slab in the mail. Got my recent submissions back last week and the newer slabs hold up a lot better

Yup because they use acrylic with higher opacity over stronger materials. It's the one reason I can't use them.

Profilbild von Johnny1tap

That does seem pretty brittle I'd definitely expect my slabs to be more sturdy than that.

So who’s genuinely the best to go with? I live in England & ppl are saying ACE. Id rather PSA cause it’s world wide renown? TAG is out of the picture now. 😂

I can do the same with PSA That hand movement is meant to break from top down However, it looks like TAG is more delicate; It fits the way it looks, It’s makes the card appear like an art piece graded, Just be more delicate and caring with your collection…..🤷🏻‍♂️ (Speaking in general ofc)
