America’s government must have us divided or they literally lose all power and would truly have to work for all the American people and do their job. If we were one, the corruption would vanish, the stealing would end, the people would thrive in America & it would be actually beautiful 💐

It is common for authoritarian regimes to employ tactics that divide the people as a means of consolidating and maintaining their power. **Authoritarian leaders often use strategies that exploit divisions among the population. By creating divisions among different groups based on factors such as ethnicity, religion, race, class, or political affiliation, authoritarian leaders can weaken any potential opposition. People who are divided and distrustful of each other are less likely to unite against the regime. **Authoritarian regimes may target specific groups or individuals as scapegoats for the country's problems. This can redirect public anger away from the regime and towards the targeted group, further dividing society and consolidating the regime's power. **Authoritarian governments often control media and information flow to manipulate public perceptions. They can disseminate propaganda that reinforces divisions and stereotypes, making it more challenging for people to find common ground. **Authoritarian regimes frequently suppress political opposition and dissenting voices. This can lead to self-censorship and a climate of fear, making it difficult for people to openly discuss their grievances and work together against the regime. ** Authoritarian regimes may manipulate electoral systems to ensure that they remain in power. This can include gerrymandering, voter suppression, and rigged elections, all of which can exacerbate divisions among the population. **Authoritarian regimes may also exacerbate economic inequalities, benefiting a small elite while leaving the majority of the population in poverty. This economic disparity can create divisions based on class and social status. "The Authoritarians" by Bob Altemeyer. The Road to Serfdom" by Friedrich Hayek - Although primarily focused on the dangers of centralized planning, this classic work also touches on the authoritarian tendencies that can emerge in societies. "The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism" by Naomi Klein - This book explores how authoritarian leaders and economic elites can exploit crises to divide societies and push through neoliberal policies.
