I love books, and I'm an avid reader, but I just have a hard time because of the way that I perceive. "I've had a great sort of - one side of me anyways - was really satisfied by art and drawing and sculpture and sort of visual expression. And I think that that started to, you know, was the thing that kind of made me feel un-frustrated. And also the way the system was designed, sort of not to support me when I was in high school at that time. "It was very difficult, you know, there was a lot of, you know, just, difficulty. My English teacher in high school was worried about what my career would be, and I'm like. He would be happy to know that I'm in the Writers Guild of America now. "But, I think that that all those things are, they're all... you can transcend all those things with perseverance and with interest and with with help. And I think that that's an important part of it. "And I just think I've had to adapt, and sort of... I have my own style of the way I write, I write all, you know, but I'm pretty prolific. One of the prosecutors on that case is a friend of mine and I know firsthand they had issues with people wanting to move forward. So that deal isn’t because Epstein had some great deal, it was because of problems with their case.

A while ago, I posted about games that looked great but had terrible gameplay/controls. The one that stuck with me was Dragon's Lair, but there were so many more mentioned in the comments that I had totally forgotten about. Today, I want to turn the question around - games that looked rather basic (or even poor) but had incredible gameplay. So, basically the polar opposite of Dragon's Lair. The choice for me was rather easy: M.U.L.E. (Ozark Softscape, 1983). Back then the graphics were ok but nothing to write home about. However, the reason why this game still has such a cult following and so many fans today - over 40 years later - is its gameplay. I never had more fun in a multi-player game. The land grabing, the auction system, supply and demand principles, and the many last second buy/sell antics have lost none of their charm. It's a game that aged beautifully because the concept and gameplay are as good today as they were back then. If you had to pick a game that ranks rather low in terms of presentation but fascinated you for its gameplay, which one would that be?

'Solsbury Hill' - Peter's debut solo single - was released on this day in 1977. In April 1977, Peter did an interview with Sounds discussing the song... "It's strange that Solsbury Hill is a single because at one point it wasn't even going to be on the album. I'm pleased with it, espeically from a "feel" point of view. It's got a kick time and that 7/4 rhythm works well because it feels like a normal rhythm but isn't quite right..."
