The pilot was testing the ejection seat and wanted it to be realistic.

Over-engineering. It’s the reason the platform still sucks.

Yes, this happened in December 2022 in Fort Worth, TX. This was a pre-delivery craft flown by a civilian. Allegedly a rare harmonic resonance in the engine ruptured a fuel line causing engine failure. A fix has since been implemented by Pratt & Whitney to prevent it from happening again.

It looks like right as the camera shows the plane reach the fence line - see the smoke? The hydraulics blew out on the rear deflectors keeping them down rather than flat or up … the nozzles should have cut off but instead based on orientation of the rear configuration - it summersaulted after the bounce still with power applied. Just my initial guess. The pilot lost flight controls.

Almost looks like the forward fan lost power/drive shaft failure. Or pilot error. Its not from hard landing, I they land a hell of a lot harder on the boat, even in calm seas.

After initial touch down and bounce, looks like lift fan lost power. Just a guess, but likely clutch mechanism that engages fan.

Engine vibration mode and aircraft vibration mode in takeoff made resonance. Engine design fault only for B model.

Because the ground was in the wrong spot.
