So, anybody who thinks the Adam West Batman show was trying to be realistic probably isn’t smart enough…well, even to live, for very long.

Batman is a comic book character. Comics are primarily for children. The Batman TV show was made in that spirit... a KIDS TV show. Superheroes were created to entertain children and instill positive role models for things like honesty, justice, patriotism, etc. Fanboys are no different that the "Disney Adults".

It was all real. Nothing was generated by computers. This was some strange thing called “acting”

I grew up watching reruns of this. However, Batman TAS and Batman Returns were my introductions to The Dark Knight, formerly known as The Caped Crusader. I prefer a darker tone but this show was funny.

Comic books are for pre-teen boys. It definitely meets the standards of that target demographic in 1966.

The most unrealistic thing about this was the all white basketball team.

This was at a time when production budgets hovered around $200. per episode. So we were lucky to get anything at all.
