This really isn’t out of the ordinary Standard list of questions for the crossing More often than not, they are waiting for the passport scan to come back & do this to keep the chatter going Sometimes it’s to lull someone into comfort & they mess up & get caught in a lie

Summertime help. During the summer you get the fresh outta border-cop school who have a point to prove after watching countless hours of training videos and having rules and laws and suspicions poured into their minds. As a fairly frequent traveller to the USA at a smaller, lesser used crossing, it’s became evident that if you’re going to have any grief at the border (always the canadian side even though I’m Canadian) it’s going to happen in the summer. All the regular officers that have experience know how are on holidays and the greenhorns that replace them all have something to prove. And if you want the truth…. It’s the women officers BY FAR! that go way over the top.

Coming back into our own country is like this every time and it’s such a fucking joke.
