A suspect driving a stolen truck went on the rampage this afternoon, apparently after a disagreement with his employer. The Malawian man – a truck driver – rammed into several cars and a pedestrian during his wild ride. Police officers, including Umlazi K9 members, gave chase but the trucker also smashed into another police car. According to the SAPS, members fired at the vehicle to neutralise the threat, and the suspect was subsequently struck and wounded. The heavy vehicle eventually came to rest on Underwood Road in Pinetown. AlsParamedics says, “Paramedics arrived on the scene to find SAPS had closed off the entire roadway. Paramedics found multiple vehicles damaged some with bullet holes and others after the crash. The scene was over a short distance and Paramedics assessed the scene. A truck that was allegedly driven by a suspect had collided head on into a SAPS vehicle whilst being chased by other SAPS members. The truck was found badly damaged as a result of the crash as well as bullet holes. The driver had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and was stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being transported to hospital under police guard. #VPDNews: Vancouver Police are releasing a video of suspects involved in the violent robbery of a 75-year-old man near East Hastings Street and Jackson Avenue on Tuesday. “This was a very serious incident where a senior who lives in the area was going for a walk in the neighbourhood and was attacked and robbed,” says Constable Megan Lui. “The suspects are still out there. Our hope is that the video will help us track them down.” “We are asking anyone who witnessed the robbery or has information that could assist investigators to come forward. We want to identify those responsible and hold them accountable.” The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m., when the victim was assaulted and robbed by a group of suspects. One suspect repeatedly pushed the victim to the ground before punching him multiple times in the face and stealing his personal belongings. The victim followed the suspects in an attempt to recover his property. During the confrontation, he was slammed into a wall twice before the suspects fled the area. Several witnesses and bystanders called police. The victim was transported to hospital with a head injury, bruises and abrasions. He has since been released from the hospital. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department's Major Crime Section at 604-717-2541.

UPDATE ON APPA: K9 Appa is on the road to recovery after being shot during that armed standoff on August 4. The dog took rounds from the suspect who had pointed a gun at a deputy and fled after contacting kids in the area. Deputies finished the threat. Appa went into surgery fighting for his life. Now the update. He had two surgeries. His prognosis is good. He’s been released from the vet and is home recovering with his handler and family. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office says they’re encouraged by his progress and remain hopeful. There’s even video of him walking around and crushing his breakfast. They say he’s got a long road still, but they’re optimistic he’ll get back out there catching bad guys and finding dope. That’s the toughness these K9s bring. I used to own a company that went bankrupt a year ago. At the time, it felt like everything was collapsing because of a series of wrong decisions—decisions that, looking back now, turned out to be blessings in disguise. During that time, I was hustling every single day just to cover rent and put food on the table. In the middle of all that chaos, I was learning how to trade. Deep down, I already knew I wanted to trade more than I wanted to save the company… but I still gave everything I had trying to keep it alive. After multiple deposits and plenty of setbacks, I finally became profitable on my last one (January 2025). At one point I was down to 0.28 SOL. I even wrote down: “I will turn 0.28 into 100.” That was my first real goal—about 25K at the time. I’ve never been the type to post PnLs, but I took a lot of inspiration and motivation from others. Might as well share my journey too. (And engagement farm) I genuinely believe everything happens for a reason—and God wouldn’t place a dream in your mind if you weren’t meant to achieve it. Eternally grateful to be able to have days like this.

🚨#UPDATE: The U.S. Capitol Police Statement on the Arrest of 44-year-old Former Marine Sgt Brian McGinnis U.S. Capitol Police say the incident occurred just before p.m. during a Senate hearing inside the Hart Senate Office Building, when a man allegedly began an unlawful protest and disrupted proceedings. According to police, officers moved to remove the individual from the room, at which point he violently resisted and fought officers’ attempts to escort him out, creating what authorities described as a dangerous situation inside the hearing. Officials say three officers were treated for injuries by D.C. Fire & EMS following the confrontation. Police also claim the suspect intentionally got his arm stuck in a door while attempting to resist removal and force his way back into the hearing room, and he was also treated afterward. He is facing multiple charges, including: 1. Three counts of Assault on a Police Officer 2. Three counts of Resisting Arrest 3.
