The wording of the bill is vague and open to interpretation, which means even ordinary statements could be judged as ill will and lead to serious criminal action. India already has laws to deal with hate speech, and even the Supreme Court has said that the real problem is weak enforcement, not the absence of law. The only solution to bad speech is better speech. We've always known that. The situation in Brazil is getting ugly, with X and Elon Musk fighting for the right of the people of Brazil to voice their free speech. The problem, though, is that the highest court in the land says that some of this free speech is not legal speech. Musk doesn't get enough credit for his free speech advocacy, but at the same time, he did say that X will obey the laws of the countries where people reside. So who should decide if speech is or is not in line with the laws of Brazil? Should it be Elon Musk and his lawyers or should it be the highest court in Brazil? The situation in Brazil is getting ugly, with X and Elon Musk fighting for the right of the people of Brazil to voice their free speech. The problem, though, is that the highest court in the land says that some of this free speech is not legal speech. Musk doesn't get enough credit for his free speech advocacy, but at the same time, he did say that X will obey the laws of the countries where people reside. So who should decide if speech is or is not in line with the laws of Brazil? Should it be Elon Musk and his lawyers or should it be the highest court in Brazil? Even if they are misinterpreting their own laws, who should decide that? What are your thoughts?

Not to protect anybody, but to shield themselves from criticism so they can continue to do what they want to do in secret.” This new law will impose millions and millions of dollars in fines forcing social media companies to censor what California Democrats define as hate speech

EXCLUSIVE: “We Are Here to Promote Canadian Nationalism” | Remigration Rally in Calgary, Alberta Canadian nationalists demonstrated on one of Calgary’s busiest highways, holding a sign reading “Remigration Now,” and calling for the flow of immigration to Canada to not only be stopped, but reversed. “People try to call us radicals, but our existing immigration policy is radical,” said Greg Wycliffe, a board member of the Dominion Society of Canada, the organization behind the demonstration.
