Sadly the other way will make it worse for those who can only access the public system. Those who can pay for their own surgery will affect access for those who can’t - and it will affect your access to urgent surgeries in hospital

Scandinavian and many any other countries have a hybrid Healthcare system, and it works great. Try something new, you might be pleasantly surprised.

It’s for only 4 types of surgeries. Knee and hip, hernia, eye and ear nose and throat. Those surgeries can be done in hospitals during evening hours throughout the province
