Since no one truly knows, I’ll just say this is my opinion. I believe that the structure of the brain acts as an instrument that inherently translates the fractal code into what we consider to be perception. Without observation the code is static and un rendered.

Yes, assuming consciousness can observe itself. But that requires a long conversation about the nature and definition of consciousness, which is subjective this debated amongst philosophers
