@ShaneWinnings Arguing with these folks is like talking to a wall. They’re convinced before they even start the debate and there’s no changing it. They won’t take anything into consideration.

No. Memory does not determine human value. A newborn has almost no memory. A person with dementia may lose much of theirs. A person in a coma may not be able to recall anything at all. None of them become less human because of it. Our worth is not measured by memory, intelligence, usefulness, independence, or productivity. It comes from something far deeper: we are made in the image of God. That is why every human life has value, from the womb to the final breath. ✝️ “So God created human beings in his own image.” Genesis 1:27 NLT

@ShaneWinnings Call me mean, but this is one child that should have been aborted.

@ShaneWinnings Babies in utero are believed to have memory. They will habituate to noises they hear outside of the womb.

@ShaneWinnings If memory decides human value, newborns and dementia patients both fail the test. Dignity does not work that way.

@ShaneWinnings Numbers 5:11-31 Is a story how a priest says it’s okay to abort a baby if she slept with anybody but her husband if she drinks the water and that to be true. Nobody ever brings this verse up. But it’s very clear the intent of the jealous husband

It's very disingenuous use of language to claim a baby feels pain in the womb. -The major medical consensus states that a fetus cannot consciously perceive pain until at least 24 to 25 weeks of gestation. -The vast majority of abortions take place very early in pregnancy, specifically within the first 9 weeks of gestation. - It's maturing it's not even a fetus until week 9. - At 9 Weeks: The brain is in its highly fragmented mapping stage. Cells are multiplying rapidly, but they are firing locally—meaning any brain activity or muscle twitch is just an isolated, automatic reflex loop. At 12 Weeks: The brain enters a transitional phase. "wiring" is only just starting to sprout from the lower brain centers. The Connected Mind: Those growing wires won't actually plug into the cortex until around week 24.

@ShaneWinnings The body remembers trauma. One can even not remember what caused the trauma.

@ShaneWinnings Oh dang 😳 I sure hope memory doesn't determine value. 👀 I'd say I'm pretty valuable but severely lacking on the remembering stuff. What is a memory except fleeting time anyways?

@ShaneWinnings To be fair, I think most people will die not “knowing that they died”. I’ve had some injuries and surgeries that I don’t remember, should I have been offed for that? Most coma patients don’t remember. It’s a strange argument, I think there is something more under the surface.

There are thousands of children, many with serious disabilities, waiting for adoption, throughout the US. There are thousands of babies and children murdered in places like Palestine. Rectify your muteness and inaction in some of these areas - maybe then you might have some credibility instead of just your hypocrisy.

@ShaneWinnings So, if someone has Congenital insensitivity... is it alright to inflict harm on them... because they can't feel it.

@ShaneWinnings Ridiculous, a fetus can not live on its own….therefore it is not a viable human. Memory has absolutely nothing to do with this….
