Yes! Carbs are literally our brain food

Mine certainly doesn’t …I healed cognitive impairment by eating beef & fat, eliminating sugar.

If your brain does not function well on sugar, it means that you're metabolically dysfunctional. It does not run more efficiently on ketones, this is just biologically untrue. Everyone eventually converts from carnivore to Peatarian for a reason. Paul Saladino is a major figure who has done so. Ray Peat's work is exceptional and it's correct and it's in line with epistemic reasoning citing historical evolutionary dietary patterns. Humans have always consumed as much sugar as they could get their hands on. The hadza tribe gorges on honey when they can.

The human brain runs on glucose and only on glucose. Your liver will create it if you are in ketosis, through a process called gluconeogenesis. Your brain cannot use ketones.

The best way to know this is true, do the test on yourself! I’ve done carnivore and then twisted off on a weekend with friends or on a vacation and seen this happen to me as a result. Yes, it’s true!

Carbs are the staff of life. Pastas, potatoes, starchy vegetables, bread, and non processed sweets like homemade pies and cakes are what provides us with energy and metabolic health. Meats and saturated fats must be minimally consumed or not at all.

Your world record is a bit of a joke. Power goes up with weight and your record doesn’t adjust for you being massively heavier than serious rowers.
