I love this video. This is why you do difficult things in front of your kids. They need to see what it's like to set a goal, to work for that goal, and to achieve it. As dads we should always strive to be getting better. Physically, mentally, financially, emotionally, spiritually. It's a lifelong journey which necessarily comes with struggle. And some of those struggles are meant to be private. But most of them don't need to be private. And they can actually serve as powerful lessons. So a reminder for myself as much as anyone else reading this: Don't shy away from showing your work. Talk about it. Talk about why it's important. Talk about where you're at now. Talk about what it took to get there, and talk about what's next. (Also check out the end of the video, which made me laugh out loud)

Dave Portnoy has a complete meltdown on stream over an employee making light about "Jew jokes" because he claims it leads to the normalization of antisemitism. I don't entirely disagree with the premise of his argument, but he's completely wrong to insist on censorship. The normalization of Jew hatred is a very real thing, but shutting anyone down for making jokes is only going to provoke even more people to do it. Censorship always backfires. There's a big difference between making jokes about a certain ethnicity and calling for violence, the latter of which should never be condoned. It's not even that fine of a line. It used to be normal and perfectly accepable to make fun of races without anyone getting hyperoffended about it. We've gotten so politically correct that jokes are now costing people their jobs and making people more racist. Just look at the UK and how it arrests people for relatively innocuous social media posts and the chilling effect it has on speech. Comedy should be legal.
