This is one of the greatest feelings a hitter will ever experience… and most players never learn it. This drill has nothing to do with mechanics. It has everything to do with execution. The pitcher mixes fastballs and slow balls. Your only two rules: ⚾ Slow pitch or spin? Don’t roll it over. ⚾ Fastball? Don’t pull it. Now you’re forced to recognize speed instead of guessing. You’re training your eyes, your timing, and your approach—not just your swing. This is one of my favorite two-strike drills because it teaches hitters to trust what they see instead of committing too early. A great swing is important. Knowing when to use it is what separates hitters. Train with an expert, not an influencer.

Most hitters think the stride works like this: Foot forward… back hip stays cocked, coiled, loaded whatever the term, then WHAM. I get it. Sounds cool. But the swing isn’t a Looney Tunes slingshot. For instance, a toe-tap stride, the whole system moves forward together — head, torso, and lower half toward the pitcher in sync. Look at the yellow lines. (Start to finish) The roof → spine → base all move forward into the position to fire. Where hitters get in trouble is when the foot goes forward but the head and torso stay back. Now they’re stuck on the backside… the front shoulder pops up and the barrel starts down too soon causing a steep swing with balls into the ground or missing under that one fastball. The stride isn’t just a step. It’s a controlled forward move of the whole system. Study the lines. Agree or disagree? ⚾️ Train with an expert. Not an influencer

Tariffs were never meant to be a weapon. The original idea was reciprocal trade, if Switzerland hits an American product with an 8.3% VAT, we match it with an 8.3% tariff. That system worked for decades. But lately, tariffs have turned into tariff warfare, punitive moves like the 50% hit on Canada and Mexico, now sitting at 25% during a political standoff. That’s not strategy, that’s negotiation through pain. Here’s the problem, when you tariff things you don’t even produce, you’re not punishing the other country, you’re punishing Americans. Take potash as an example, it’s in Saskatchewan, we don’t have it. So a 25% tariff makes farmers pay more, which makes food cost more. Same with bananas, pineapples, aluminum inputs, all of it. Small businesses can’t absorb those costs, they pass them on, and the consumer gets hammered at the kitchen table.

In reality, that forward drift often causes the barrel to work down through and under the ball. Instead, rotate behind your contact point. I am sure it may vary by area but I never heard of a law that states your car has to have a license plate on it at all times even when being parked. A group of friends took off the license plate of their car to take pictures. Some cops came by and cited them for it. I don’t think everyone knows about this law, so if I’m say waxing my car and want to take the plate off so I can get to areas around it better, an officer can come by and cite me for it? I know I don’t have to have a front plate anymore and even when I started driving years ago I never kept a front plate on it and only got warnings for it. Maybe these friends are being trivial but have you heard of this? Do you think you should get a ticket if your parked car doesn’t have a plate? Thinking about it, maybe it’s because the plate is an identifying piece of the car, so if anything happens a plate is required for identification purposes. That’s my take on this, I can’t think of any other reason.
