Yellow fever cards and Ugandan borders 😆 I left Kampala with a yellow fever certificate. When I reached Busia, I was told the one I had would not work. I paid for another at the border because I needed to proceed to Nairobi. I kept asking myself: why do they give people white cards if they need yellow ones? What is the difference between the white and yellow cards for the yellow fever vaccination? And why does one need a yellow fever card to enter Uganda? At a few places I have visited, I was never asked for this card. I met a 75-year-old professor who wanted to visit Uganda, but he was advised not to take the yellow fever vaccine at his age, meaning he can never come to Uganda.
