I used to own that console. Doom was a commercial disappointment, but man, I would be so flattened if a game of mine were a validation tool for whatever platform. Perhaps this is of interest to both @ID_AA_Carmack and @romero :-)

This is the opposite of what I was proposing. But I'm still kind of impressed with Doom: The Last Starfighter.

OK, I've been meaning to do this for the past several days and I've just started it... Having Claude find the Doom source and remake it with full modern 3D + ray tracing. We'll see what comes out.
