Doom: The Dark Ages on PC delivers an excellent experience - even on mainstream/less than stellar hardware. See how well it runs on a Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 4060 combo, plus optimised settings for three classes of PC kit:

The game runs well from a frametime consistency pespective but I feel like it's a bit too GPU heavy and doesn't scale much with lower gfx settings. Hopefully Id Software can improve this with future patches.

PC clears by far any other version available

Someone test this with a 2060 6GB, supposedly we're already in a world where we're locking out 6GB cards now so I'm curious to know if it runs.

Your next W? A fresh gaming PC. Don’t lose out. 🎮🔥

I think that the “less than stellar hardware” should be the main focus - cause that’s what most PC gamers own (and can afford). It’s nice to showcase a review using a 4090, of course, but it would benefit most of us knowing how new releases fare on “common” average GPU hardware.

The pc version is definitely not the slam dunk this title insinuates

ID tech is as good as it gets.

A 4060 is mid range? The cost of the GPU is the cost of a console here. How out of touch.

I have a problem, I'm stuck at 80/90fps whatever my graphics settings with my 7900XTX x Ryzen 7800X3D in 1440p and 4k

PC slop

And steamdeck,assus?
