🔥5 drills to destroy doubles #1 Pad Punch When you feel pressure from the adjacent blocker, combat his force with your hips. #2 Sled Punch The key to defeating a double team is to split it. Here’s a great drill to help you attack 1 man, get skinny and throw off. #3 Double splits Splitting doubles can be super difficult. The double splits drill helps simulate the force you’ll need to apply into your primary blocker to ultimately split the double team. #4 Punch recover When aligned in an even technique (0, 2, 4) the key is to survive the collision by staying square, absorbing force and transitioning to the crease. The punch recover drill does a great job of simulating this. #5 Hip Swivels Use hip swivels to practice wedging your hips between the primary and adjacent blocker.

Dear Catcher, This is Mr. Coach. How dare you do a deflection with your mitt on the 100mph FB spiked at 56’ feet. You need to first get off your knee, slide your body over with two knees down, tuck your chin, and get your barehand behind the ball! - Reality: Nice athletic game-saving stop. Do what you gotta do! Catch first, Stop it second. Hands move faster than the body! I’ve never met a pitcher that tried to intentionally throw a fastball in the dirt.

Too many players guard the ball passive. We need our players to impact and disrupt the ball - No Comfy QBs. Here’s our 3-part progression: #1. 12 Seconds of Hell A continuous 4sec–4sec–4sec rep to teach layered ball pressure: 4 sec of ball tracing: hand above the ball (not across body), pressure passers, pop back on rips. 4 sec of live dribble: small space containment, stunt and recover. 4 sec of dead ball pressure: vocal pressure “DEAD DEAD DEAD,” limit vision, force back foot passes. #2. Man in the Middle A simple drill that goes back to childhood. 2 passers, 15 ft apart. No overhead passes. Defender must slap the ball to start each on-ball rep. If they force a deflection, errant pass, or movement from the receiver → passer is in the middle on defense. #3. Fake Game 1v1 with only 1 or 0 dribbles. Forces defenders to pressure and disrupt without getting blown by. If they sag too much, they give space for an easier shot or downhill free dribble. If they pressure, they learn to force wide and force tough shots. We call it HEAT. Every defender's heat is different, but everyone needs to impact the ball in some way. No spectators or statues on the ball waiting to be attacked.

49ers training camp practice #2 is in the books. Here are some of the highlights: 🏈De'Zhaun Stribling is getting OPEN — catch-and-run house call from Mac Jones with those long 4.36 strides... The rookie also created separation down the seam on a ball Purdy overshot. Stribling caught a nice one from Purdy on an early rollout 🏈New CB Jack Jones has looked spry, but Ricky Pearsall cooked him on a double move — Jones misfired but that was some "wow" separation. Purdy later hit Pearsall for what might've been a catch-and-run TD 🏈Excellent Renardo Green leaping PBU 🏈CMC has a lot of juice to begin this camp. Jordan James got most of the work behind him early in this practice, but the back half featured more of rookie Kaelon Black. He had a muscle-on-muscle collision with Marques Sigle early 🏈Ji'Ayir Brown notched an acrobatic diving INT off a shorter pass from Purdy, who bounced back immediately with a chunk gainer to Mike Evans. Even with Christian Kirk (calf strain) sideline, the 49ers' WR corps already looks worlds ahead of last season's 🏈Vet CB Eli Apple, entering Year 11, notched a pick 6 off Kurtis Rourke on a pass intended for Junior Bergen. Rourke rebounded with a nice seam shot to Jordan Watkins for a long gain, and then Rourke and Bergen bounced back with a long TD connection to end practice that fired up the onlooking first teamers 🏈Fred Warner looks like Fred Warner. Whenever he makes a nice stop near the media, Warner pretends to tweet with his thumbs to ensure his nice plays are noted 🏈Trent Williams, who just turned 38, is much more buoyant than I remember from previous camps. Iran built a military designed to fight without a head. Now it cannot stop fighting because the head is gone. The Mosaic Doctrine divides the IRGC into 31 autonomous provincial commands, one per province, each with pre-delegated authority, local weapons stockpiles, independent decision-making, and sealed orders that activate upon central command failure. The doctrine was formalised after the Iran-Iraq War for one purpose: ensure that the decapitation of Iranian leadership does not stop the Iranian military from fighting. It was designed to survive exactly what happened on 28 February. The Supreme Leader is dead. His successor cannot stand. The defence industrial base is rubble. The communication infrastructure that would transmit a ceasefire has been degraded by 15,000 strikes. And the 31 commands are still firing. Not because someone is ordering them to fire. Because the doctrine orders them to fire until someone orders them to stop, and the someone who would order them to stop is in a hospital bed issuing written statements through a television anchor. The Quds Force overlays the Mosaic with a second network: the proxy architecture. Hezbollah in Lebanon launches hundreds of rockets at Israel. The Houthis in Yemen attack Red Sea shipping and fire at Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Iraqi PMF militias, Kata’ib Hezbollah and Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, strike American bases in Iraq and Syria. The coordination flows through secure fibre-optic lines, satellite backups, encrypted applications, and physical couriers carrying cash and operational directives. Funding: $100 to $350 million annually through tunnel smuggling, cryptocurrency wallets, and Hezbollah intermediaries. The proxies have hit American diplomatic facilities. A missile struck the US Embassy helipad in Baghdad. Two Iranian drones hit the US Embassy compound in Riyadh, starting fires. A drone struck near the US Consulate in Dubai. The Kuwait Embassy closed under threat. Three to four verified diplomatic incidents across the region, each producing limited damage but each crossing a line that has governed international conflict since the 1961 Vienna Convention: you do not strike embassies. And then Hamas, the proxy Iran armed and funded for seventeen years, issued a public statement asking Iran to stop targeting neighbouring countries. The organisation that started the war the Mosaic Doctrine is now perpetuating told its patron to stand down. The Axis of Resistance is arguing in public for the first time since its creation. The fracture reveals the Mosaic Doctrine’s fatal design flaw. The system was built for survival, not termination. It ensures that 31 commands continue fighting after decapitation. It does not contain a mechanism for 31 commands to simultaneously stop. Each command fires under sealed orders with local authority. No central node can broadcast a ceasefire because the central node was the target of the first strike. The doctrine that makes Iran impossible to defeat also makes Iran impossible to negotiate with because the entity that would accept terms does not control the entities that would implement them. Hezbollah fires because its orders predate the ceasefire that does not exist. The Houthis fire because their funding pipeline operates independently of any command they would obey. The Iraqi PMF fires because the militias answer to local commanders who answer to a Quds Force whose leader is in a bunker. And the 31 provincial commands fire because the doctrine says fire and nobody with authority has said stop. The war’s most dangerous feature is not what Iran can still launch. It is what Iran can no longer recall. The machine was built to run without an operator. The operator is gone. The machine is running. And the off switch was never installed because the doctrine’s designers believed the machine should never be turned off.

(The PG)is patient in the ball screen - simple concept with 2 players guarding him, he passes the ball to the open man (SIMPLE OFFENSIVE PRINCIPLE UNLOCKED) 2. (The Screener) recognizes the double and short rolls to space - but even bigger - they have the ability to PASS! Eyes up be a playmaker! 3. (receiver) recognizes the middle pass (we treat as a middle drive) and baseline cuts for an easy dunk - stars that can play in a team setting increase their winning impact (see Jalen Brunson in finals) If our best players have the ability to play like this in halfcourt settings, we are going to be just fine!!
