That has nothing to do with N. E. S. or W. That is a bad parenting issue and the parents not teaching the children manners, courtesy and common decency. I lived all over the country and manners don’t change.

This is how I was raised, when you enter a room you speak to the people that are there. It’s proper etiquette, why would you want someone in your home who doesn’t speak to you?

Idk what he taloning bout people up north are raised to speak when walking in people house are taught to say yes instead of what say thank you when someone opens the door the only thing o wasn’t raised to do was call people miss or sir and we rarely say ma’am

So true 🤣💯 1st time in school in NC, from DC, people were speaking and at 1st I thought they thought I was somebody they knew 🤣 I used to genuinely wonder why they were smiling and saying hi....I love it though!!!!

I’ve never met another northerner who doesn’t know how to greet ppl when they enter a house or know common courtesy . you must have gotten us confused with the west coast . northerners can be a little abrupt but we definitely know our manners .

Honestly that’s not northern or southern thing like he said it’s common courtesy. We don’t play that in the north neither when someone helps you or holds a door you say thank you & you better speak if you enter somebody home.

I grew up in the Caribbean where common courtesy is a must, then I moved to New York where Walmart employees used to look at you like you stole something. THEY JUST WATCHED YOU PAY!!! Then I moved to CT when a sweet old lady said “thank you for shopping at Walmart”

@Buttercupjae This is a fact. My Dad was so strict with it he’d check you for not saying good morning and he didn’t give a damn how you were feeling. Speak and don’t wear out your welcome in someone else’s house.

I’m from Chicago but majority of our grandparents and great grandparents are from down south and we raised the same way lmao I live in az and they asses is so rude here let me take my ass back to my roots
