She is a purest of pure Kannadathi married into a Kannadiga house who spoke Marathi. This Kannadiga household gave up their mother tongue #Kannada for #Marathi in 1950s when they migrated from Dharwad to Nashik. Ather's announcement of the Tamil dashboard (well-timed for Pongal) made me go back to the time when the company announced the launch of its Kannada dashboard, for Kannada Rajyotsava Day on November 1, 2025. The Tamil ad has actor-director Parthiban using his famous Tamil wordplay to talk about Tamil, as a language, and then introducing the scooter's Tamil dashboard, with a nod to his famous 'Dubai Kurukku Sandhu' comedy too :) Parthiban speaks entirely in Tamil, addressing Tamilians directly - understandably so. But interestingly, Kannada actor Ramesh Aravind (who, incidentally, has a sizeable body of work in Tamil cinema too) spoke in a mix of English and Kannada. Ramesh seemed to be addressing more of the non-Kannadiga population than Kannada-speaking, asking people to learn Kannada through small, simple methods using everyday conversation. Why this change? Is it because of Bengaluru's famous cosmopolitan nature, and the predominant grouse of the local population that those who make the city their home do not make an attempt to assimilate into the local culture (with knowledge of Kannada cited as a gateway for such assimilation, even though cultural assimilation can happen in many more ways than just speaking or understanding the language)? But isn't Karnataka much, much bigger than just Bengaluru? Step away from Bengaluru and you would more likely need to understand Kannada for everyday conversations in most other cities in Karnataka. Not very different from stepping away from Chennai, into the many other cities of Tamil Nadu. The other logical miss was the fact that the Kannada dashboard was meant for people who understand, prefer, and love that language. Not those who are learning it (or not) to assimilate into the local culture. Ather anyway has multilingual dashboard; so, someone who lives in Bengaluru and has Hindi as their mother tongue, would rather choose the Hindi dashboard, over the Kannada dashboard. There's no point in addressing them in a mix of English and Kannada, and introducing the Kannada dashboard to them. Yesterday when I posted the photo of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamiji, the so-called “Kannada activists” who hate Hinduism started screaming “fake”, claiming that the two never met and there is no historical evidence. Mysuru Dasara is a sacred festival of Goddess Chamundeshwari, rooted in faith and tradition, not a cultural show. Every ritual is performed as per Shastras, underscoring its purely religious nature. Yet the INDI Alliance repeatedly insults Hindu sentiments. They invited M.K. Stalin to Sabarimala, and now Banu Mushtaq who openly rejected Kannada Taayi Bhuvaneshwari to inaugurate Dasara. After assuring the Court in April 2024 during a hearing of my PIL before Hon'ble Division Bench of Madras High Court - that they will not go ahead with constructions of shops in the temple area before the Majestic Rajagopuram in Tiruvannamalai - the TN HRCE whose servant is functioning in this temple as an Executive Officer by FRAUD from 13.12.1951 - now wants to build 75 shops instead of 150 shops - What else can one expect from frauds controlling our temples ? Sri Amit Shah Ji Having worked with you for sometime in Central Govt, I can vouchsafe that out of all the top leaders in the Central Govt you are the most Hindu-minded. I have publicly congratulated you for your bold actions on Article 370 & CAA. Yet, in the last 9+ years of BJP rule in the Centre, public celebration of Hindu festivals are being banned and criminalised directly or by resorting to various subterfuges including through court orders. What kind of #Hindutva is this Sir, that your Governments at Centre and in States violate with impunity Article 25 of Constitution which gives fundamental right of freedom to profess and practice religion by public celebration of Hindu festivals by banning them on the specious ground of public order? Is that action of denial of fundamental right of Hindus on that spurious ground, not an admission of the utter failure and incompetence of your BJP Central and State Governments to maintain public order? By continuous denial of rights of Hindus for years to publicly celebrate their festivals, are your Central and State Governments not normalising their criminal negligence and utter incompetence in not upholding the Constitution? A Hindu man and a Muslim girl, traveling together due to a medical emergency, were stopped by a group of MUSLIMS who questioned their friendship, saying, How can you be friends with a Hindu? Despite the girl explaining the urgency of the situation, they persisted, claiming they had seen them together frequently. Isn’t this a display of venomous hatred toward Hindus? There is a Hindi imposition from the last 70 years. From banks and railway stations to passport offices, Hindi is being imposed and people are fed up of it. The Indian government gives special status to the Hindi language over the non-Hindi languages. Even private organisations have started this trend…. RCB has fans all over India and not just among Hindi speakers. They are actually representing Bangalore whose language is Kannada. When one Muslim started fighting with a Hindu and began hitting him, the other Muslims joined in and also started attacking the Hindu. However, no other Hindus came forward to support him. The main reasons for this were: The Hindus did not see it as an attack by Muslims on a Hindu. They lacked awareness of their own identity as Hindus. They were unsure about what to do in such a situation. They viewed religion as something irrelevant or untouchable. They did not have any sense of religious pride.

It is better to learn Hindi, so that we can mingle with people easily."

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) involvement in the Ayodhya Ram Temple movement after Gandhi's assassination is well explained by Justice Chandru in this video. RSS started by placing a small idol of Lord Ram near Babri Masjid in 1948, demolished Babri Masjid in 1992, and constructed the Ayodhya temple in 2024. They pursued a single-point agenda for 70 years to make India a Hindu Rashtra. Who will benefit? Hypothetically, if minorities convert to Hinduism, will the RSS agenda end? Next, their target would be OBC and SC/ST communities. As Babasaheb Ambedkar said: "If Hindu Raj does become a fact, it will, no doubt, be the greatest calamity for this country… Hindu Raj must be prevented at any cost." Now, the same kind of issue RSS and Hindu outfits are trying in Thiruparangundram, where their protests were backed by AIADMK. We should be very cautious. Not just for this election, DMK should engage young speakers to address this issue in every corner of the state. Tamil Nadu must remain vigilant in eradicating these Hindu extremist forces.

HINDUS UNDER ATTACK IN BANGLADESH A ‘Joint Task Force’ comprising Army and BGB soldiers carrying lethal arms, along with Police in full riot gear & armed with rifles, swarmed Hazari Gali and other Hindu areas of Chattogram soon after dusk on 5th November, 2024 and launched an indiscriminate crackdown on the Hindus. The interim government in Bangladesh, which have quite often deceptively asserted that the news regarding persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh are majorly exaggerated, had been left red faced by the show of strength of the Sanatani Community in a rally at Chattogram last month, which left Mohammad Yunus embarrassed and dented his image in the Western World. The attack on Hindus at Chattogram on 5th November and since then had been ordered by Mohammad Yunus in order to teach Hindus a lesson, which is being perceived as a retributive move by his administration. The Joint Task Force broke CCTV cameras to prevent any kind of recording before they looted valuable items such as gold jewelry from Hindu-owned shops and homes, and vandalised Hindu owned properties. More than 200 Hindu men were arrested and there are also apprehensions that some of them may have been shot dead. The atrocities against Bangladeshi Hindus are crossing the limits of tolerance. It seems the new Administration wants to emulate the Nazi regime. It is high time that the Hindus across the world should unite against such barbaric regime, who are violating human rights of the minority Hindu Community everyday. We as concerned neighbors would certainly raise our voices for our Sisters and Brothers of Bangladesh. I would like to urge Hon'ble External Affairs Minister; Shri Dr. S. Jaishankar Ji to kindly take note of the incident and request him to take appropriate steps which may bring some respite to the persecuted Hindu Community of Bangladesh.
