Wangari Maathai words have come to pass. Nature is UNFORGIVING. Those who had the privilege of living near forests can attest to the fact that since the forest cover absorbs water like a sponge ,NO RUNOFFS happened, meaning No floods,fast forward,CUT TREES.

The rebuilding should start by shifting the capital from a swamp (Nairobi) to a well drained terrain (Isiolo) as proposed in the Kenya Vision 2030.

We know many of you are hurting, uncertain, and anxious after Hurricane Melissa, but please know that you are not alone. So far, there have been no confirmed reports of deaths, and we are thankful for that. Our teams are on the ground working tirelessly to rescue, restore, and bring relief where it’s needed most. Recovery will take time, but the Government is fully mobilized. Relief supplies are being prepared, and we are doing everything possible to restore normalcy quickly. To every Jamaican, hold strong.
