Dr. Rachel Marynowski shared a perspective on cholesterol history that makes you pause. In the 1970s, doctors weren’t aggressively screening for high cholesterol because levels up to around 300 mg/dL were often still considered within a normal range. Cholesterol is something the body produces and needs for many essential...

The corruption of our medical system goes much deeper than you think. Alan Cassels just exposed how the American Heart Association manipulates health guidelines to “sell sickness” and turn healthy people into patients for profit. “The new definition of ‘high cholesterol’ is almost 100 million Americans.” “This is a massive market.” “The reason is so obvious.” “Because there’s so much money in it.” “The American Heart Association came out with a new set of guidelines just earlier this month.” “They are a fascinating study in the creation of disease.” “The recommendations around when you should test somebody for high cholesterol have changed.” “Instead of just testing older people, we should be testing younger people.” “We should be screening children.” “We should be getting people to submit to a cholesterol test every 5 years.” “There are new cholesterol-lowering drugs.” “There are new ways to take healthy people and turn them into candidates for whom the drug would be prescribed.” “I think cholesterol is one of the most absurd examples of the selling of sickness.” “The danger of high cholesterol has not changed.” “It’s a small risk factor.” “If you take a cholesterol-lowering drug for 10 years, it might reduce your risk of having a heart attack or stroke by about 1%, if you’re lucky.” “About 20-25% of the people who take the drug will not be able to tolerate it because of adverse effects.” “We’re talking about a drug that has an extremely low yield and a high likelihood of being harmful.” Alan Cassels Jeffrey A Tucker

Dr. Benjamin Bikman just revealed the longest living humans all had HIGH cholesterol. But doesn't high cholesterol cause heart disease? That's what doctors told us for decades, yet a 2023 Swedish study proved otherwise. They looked at the most consistent variables in people who lived the longest. They found three things: 1) Low uric acid 2) High cholesterol 3) Good glucose control "The longest lived people had high cholesterol levels. It is one of the most consistent themes of longevity research." Bikman is a metabolic scientist who says cholesterol is required for your body to function at the most basic level: • Every sex hormone is built from it • LDL helps your immune system fight infections • Your mitochondria cannot produce energy without it Yet we live in a world that hates cholesterol. Modern medicine told us it was bad to have high levels of it. The reason is because they sold us statin lowering drugs. "We have chosen markers in modern medicine that we have well-designed drugs for." Bikman says the marker that actually predicts heart attacks is triglycerides—not cholesterol. But there's no profitable drug that lowers triglycerides. And there is one for cholesterol. The molecule we've been told to fear may be the one keeping us alive the longest. — Dr. Benjamin Bikman (Benjamin Bikman) on Steven Bartlett's (@SteveBartlettSC) Diary of a CEO podcast PS. "The Most Important Fat In Our Body Is Cholesterol. Cholesterol Is The King Of All Fats." Dr Daniel Pompa There Is No Bad Cholesterol. We've Been Lied To. 3 Reasons Why Cholesterol Is The King Of All Fats. 1: Top Of The Hormone Chain--We need LDL for Progesterone, Estrogen, Testosterone & all steroid hormones. LDL is a transport lipoprotein molecule required for hormone production & immune function. 2: Vitamins-- Cholesterol is required in order to absorb fat soluble A, D, E & K into our cells. This is the single most crucial element in our immune system to fight against pathogens & bacteria. 3: Brain Health--Your brain cannot work without an abundance of Cholesterol. 100+ neurotransmitters rely on cholesterol for function. Lack of cholesterol will cause cognitive impairment & result in neurodegenerative diseases like Dementia, Parkinson's & Alzheimer's. We need proper levels of cholesterol & an abundance of dietary cholesterol. The most important fat in our body is cholesterol. Cholesterol Is Essential, Without It Our Body Cannot Make: Testosterone Aldosterone Cortisol DHT Dihydrotestosterone DHEA Dehydroepiandrosterone Estradiol Estriol Estrone Progesterone Vitamin D Top 15 Benefits Of Cholesterol: Protects against chemicals, toxins & heavy metals. "Cholesterol Is A Nutrient, Not A Disease." Dr Jocelyn Foran, MD "Cholesterol Is An Essential Building Block & Required By Our 40 Trillion Cells." Even The American Heart Association Was Forced To Admit 'Cholesterol Is No Longer A Nutrient Of Concern' & Removed Their Warning. Buried on page 91 of the 572 page report, 2015 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee: “Previously, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommended that cholesterol intake be limited to no more than 300 mg/day." "The 2015 DGAC has halted this advice because available evidence shows no relationship between consumption of dietary cholesterol & serum (blood) cholesterol. Cholesterol is no longer a nutrient of concern for overconsumption.” Dr. Steven Nissen, chairman of cardiovascular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic: “The idea that we needed to limit saturated fat & cholesterol shifted Americans from a well-balanced diet to high-sugar diets, which made people eat more & get fatter.” The reality, according to Nissen, is that only 15% of circulating cholesterol in the blood comes from what you eat. The other 85% comes from the liver. "It's the right decision to lift the ban on dietary cholesterol consumption. We got the dietary guidelines wrong. They've been wrong for decades." "Cholesterol Is The Most Important Molecule In The Body...Don't Blame Cholesterol For The Harm That Calcium Causes." Dr Hal Huggins "1.5% Of Arterial Plaque Is Fat & Of That 0.5% Is Cholesterol." "90% Of The Plaque Is Calcium. So Where's The Problem...Calcium Or Cholesterol?" Cholesterol isn’t the enemy. In fact, it’s one of the most essential substances in your body. 60% of your brain is fat & 30% of that is cholesterol. Your hormones, cell membranes & nervous system all depend on it. The mainstream message that high cholesterol causes clogged arteries is fraudulent & wrong. Studies show that arterial plaque is mostly calcium — not cholesterol. Only 0.5% of the plaque is cholesterol. The rest? Over 90% is calcium buildup. Atherosclerosis Is An Inflammatory Disease, Not A Cholesterol Disease or A Statin Deficiency. New episode of HARD DRUGS! Should everyone be taking statins? Statins have revolutionised heart disease and they're one of many reasons for the long-term decline in cardiovascular mortality. Clinical trials suggest that the more you reduce LDL cholesterol levels, the more you reduce the risks of heart attacks and strokes, with no signal of harms even at the lowest levels. So scientists recommend the earlier they're taken the better, and the lower LDL levels you reach the better. Statins do have some rare side effects – such as muscle weakness and muscle loss in rare cases – but meta-analyses of RCTs find that most other side effects listed on statins' labels do not actually have higher risks than placebo. In this episode, Jacob Trefethen and I chat about all this and much more! - Why it took almost a century for scientists to come to consensus on "the lipid hypothesis": that higher levels of plasma LDL cholesterol causes higher risks of heart disease and that reducing it saves lives. - Drugs that effectively reduce cholesterol levels beyond the effect of statins, such as PCSK9 inhibitors, most of which are monoclonal antibodies, as well as newer siRNA drugs and the macrocyclic peptide enlicitide, which recently completed phase 3 trials, and Lp(a) drugs. - What the future holds for cholesterol drugs Timestamps: 0:00:00 Introduction 13:35 The decline in heart disease mortality 31:02 Surprising cholesterol trivia 55:40 The lipid hypothesis: 7 lines of evidence for the harms of LDL cholesterol 1:22:15 How cholesterol works 1:30:40 The discovery of statins 1:48:44 Should everyone be on statins? 1:57:10 PCSK9 drugs and beyond 2:22:56 Summary: how we got here and the future of cholesterol drugs Watch, listen, or read wherever you get your podcasts. "Cholesterol varies in different times of the day, different seasons, different parts of the year, with winter it increases, with summer it decreases." "Cholesterol increases after infections, after surgery, dental treatment, even stress increases it. And when we are relaxed then the Cholesterol comes down." The greatest myth in the field of medicine is that there is a relationship between high cholesterol & heart disease--it does not exist. There are no benefits to taking a Statin, yes they lower your cholesterol, but they do not lower Cardiovascular Risk or Disease. There are ONLY risks & adverse events from taking a cholesterol lowering statin...they cause grave harm. In fact, low Cholesterol is dangerous & is causal for Heart Attack, Cancer & Stroke. LDL cholesterol below 70 mg/dL causes 3X more brain bleeds known as Hemorrhagic Stroke. "Statin Drugs Have Not Saved Millions Of Lives." Dr. Jack Wolfson, Cardiologist "Statins have actually killed millions of people." Low cholesterol causes 3X increase in brain bleed strokes. Every 30 mg decrease in Cholesterol causes a 22% higher risk of death from all causes... Documented Peer Reviewed Data Shows: When LDL decreases below 70 mg/dL, hemorrhagic strokes (brain bleeds) increase 3 fold. The Minnesota Coronary Experiment showed that for every 30 mg/dL (0.78 mmol/L) decrease in serum cholesterol is linked with 22% higher risk of death from any cause. When total cholesterol is chemically lowered below 180 mg/dL the rate of cancer & dementia increases dramatically. And when total cholesterol stays under 150 mg/dL, chronic illnesses like cancer & autoimmune diseases strike. 36% of those on statin therapy will be diagnosed with new onset type 2 diabetes. Research has confirmed over & over that the higher your LDL the longer you live. LDL is a transport molecule for cholesterol & a vital immune system regulator. Lowering LDL thru statin drugs has deadly & deleterious effects. Vibrant Health Can Start To Be Attained When: Total Cholesterol is at minimum 200 mg/dL corresponding to a cholesterol level of 5.2 mmol/L in non US countries. Normal total cholesterol in 1960 was 300-350 mg/dL. Lowering cholesterol does not lower Cardiovascular risk or disease. Saturated fat & cholesterol have no effect on CVD outcomes, including heart attacks, strokes, CVD mortality & total mortality. There Are No Benefits To Cholesterol Lowering Statin Therapy..Only Risks & Side Effects: Alzheimer's Disease Cancer Pancreatitis Liver Damage Diabetes Depression/Suicidality Lupus Parkinson's Disease ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) Hormonal Deficiency Brain Damage Multiple Sclerosis Muscle Pain & Tearing Severe Weakness Neuropathy Heart Failure Vertigo Cognitive Impairment Dementia
