Jeevan Bima Nagar is completely submerged, with roads resembling rivers in what is supposed to be a modern, developed city. And this disastrous flooding is the result of just 30 minutes of rain! If a short spell can bring Bengaluru to its knees, what will happen during the full-fledged monsoon season when it rains daily? This is the harsh reality of Bengaluru’s failing infrastructure, a result of years of negligence, mismanagement, and corruption by the Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS and the Karnataka government. Despite collecting massive amounts in taxes, basic drainage systems remain broken, roads crumble at the slightest downpour, and citizens are left to wade through flooded streets. Instead of focusing on real infrastructure issues, DK Shivakumar and the Congress-led government are busy with PR gimmicks under the so-called ‘Brand Bengaluru’ initiative. But where is the development? Where are the world-class roads and drainage systems they promised? Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India, is turning into a sinking city due to their inefficiency. It’s time the government stops making empty promises and starts delivering real solutions before the city becomes completely unlivable. #bangalore #bengalururains #bangalorerains #bengaluru ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice CP Bengaluru ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು Joint CP, Traffic, Bengaluru DGP KARNATAKA Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS DK Shivakumar DGP KARNATAKA S. Brand Bengaluru or Drowned Bengaluru? BBMP Sleeps While Citizens Swim Through Neglect The infrastructure of Bengaluru has been deteriorating at an alarming rate, and the primary culprit behind this urban decay is the utter negligence and mismanagement by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Despite being one of India’s top tax-paying cities and a global technology hub, Bengaluru comes to a standstill every time it rains. Roads are flooded, traffic is paralyzed, and citizens are left stranded resembling more of a sinking Venice than a thriving metropolis. Take Electronic City, for instance one of the country’s premier IT corridors. Even there, basic infrastructure like proper drainage, road maintenance, and flood management is missing. Waterlogging has become a norm rather than an exception. The situation raises a very serious question: Why is the BBMP still asleep at the wheel? Are the crores collected from honest taxpayers being used only to fund lavish 'biryani meetings' and political photo-ops? And what about Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who has time and again promised to make Bengaluru a "Brand City"? Is this the "Brand Bengaluru" the government is so proud of a city where tech parks are surrounded by potholes, and one hour of rain turns roads into rivers? It is shocking that despite having access to funds, technology, and manpower, the civic authorities have failed so miserably. Corruption, complacency, and lack of accountability have become the hallmarks of BBMP's functioning. Bengaluru deserves better. Its citizens deserve better. The government must remember that slogans and PR campaigns cannot replace action on the ground. Until the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS and state leadership, including DK Shivakumar, stop treating the city like their personal fiefdom and start delivering real, measurable outcomes, Brand Bengaluru will remain nothing more than a broken promise drowned in the city’s flooded street #bangalore #bengaluru #electroniccity Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike BWSSB DK Shivakumar Karnataka State Police S. BMTC bus stuck at a railway crossing as the Vande Bharat train approaches! This shocking incident exposes the pathetic state of public transport in Karnataka. The lives of ordinary people are being put at risk every single day due to the negligence of the Karnataka government This is not just a minor issue it is a disaster waiting to happen. What if the train had collided with the bus? A single accident could have led to the deaths of dozens of innocent passengers. Who would have taken responsibility then? Would Siddaramaiah or DK Shivakumar have come forward to accept their failure? This tragic situation is the direct result of the government's failure to provide safe and reliable public transport. Instead of focusing on essential services like upgrading the outdated and poorly maintained BMTC buses, the Karnataka government is busy with political gimmicks and freebies to mislead the public. While crores of rupees are spent on populist schemes to win votes, basic infrastructure and safety measures are ignored. The people of Karnataka do not need free bus rides if those buses themselves are death traps! The lack of investment in new and high-quality buses is a deliberate act of negligence. BMTC continues to operate with a fleet of aging, poorly maintained buses, putting passengers' lives at risk daily. How many more accidents need to happen before the government wakes up? How many innocent people have to die before Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar take action? This incident should be a wake-up call. The Karnataka government must immediately invest in new, modern, and safe buses. Public transport is not a luxury it is a necessity for lakhs of people who depend on it every day. It is high time that Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar stop playing with people's lives and start fulfilling their responsibilities. If they continue to ignore the safety of citizens, the people of Karnataka will hold them accountable. #bangalore #bengaluru #bmtc ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice alok kumar BMTC Ramalinga Reddy ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice CP Bengaluru ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು Joint CP, Traffic, Bengaluru DGP KARNATAKA S. 📍 Vega City, Bannerghatta Road Take a look at the condition of this road. At first glance, it may appear to be a normal black patch, but in reality, the surface is completely damaged, filled with loose stones, mud, uneven patches, and crater-like potholes. This has turned what should be a safe public road into a serious hazard for commuters. The question every taxpayer is asking is: where is the tax money going? Citizens pay road tax, property tax, fuel tax, and various other charges, yet basic road infrastructure continues to deteriorate. During the rainy season, these roads get flooded and resemble small lakes, making travel dangerous and difficult. When there is no rain, the situation is hardly any better, as loose gravel, broken surfaces, and potholes pose risks to motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. Bengaluru is known as India's technology capital, but many of its roads continue to reflect poor planning, delayed maintenance, and a lack of accountability. Residents are forced to navigate damaged roads every day while infrastructure projects and promises of development continue to dominate headlines. Do the lives and safety of citizens not matter? How many accidents, vehicle damages, and daily inconveniences must people endure before permanent solutions are implemented? Roads are not a luxury they are a basic necessity, and taxpayers deserve infrastructure that is safe, reliable, and maintained throughout the year. Karnataka State Police DGP KARNATAKA S. Hate in the Heart of Bengaluru: Hotel GS Suites Publicly Abuses Kannadigas How can a hotel in Bengaluru openly display abusive language against Kannadigas on an LED screen? This happened at Hotel GS Suites in Koramangala, right in the heart of Karnataka’s capital. It’s absolutely shameful and outrageous that a community is being insulted in its own state like this. The hotel owner’s actions are not just irresponsible they are deeply offensive and divisive. Allowing such language to be displayed publicly shows a complete lack of respect for the people of Karnataka and their culture. This isn’t just a mistake; it’s a deliberate provocation. Strict action must be taken immediately. Authorities should seal the hotel and ensure the owner faces legal consequences. If we stay silent now, it sets a dangerous precedent for more such disrespect in the future. Kannadigas deserve respect in their own land. A City of Glitz, Roads of Grit Lorry Sinks on Brigade Road, Exposing the Rot Beneath Brand Bengaluru On one of Bengaluru’s most premium stretches Brigade Road, a shocking incident unfolded when a lorry’s tyres got stuck on the footpath, leaving the massive vehicle dangerously tilted and on the verge of toppling. The scene drew the attention of pedestrians and motorists alike, raising serious questions about accountability and civic responsibility.Who’s really at fault here the truck driver, who had no business driving on a pedestrian footpath, or the authorities responsible for the pathetic construction quality of such an important road in the heart of the city?If the lorry driver decided to take the footpath, it reflects a blatant disregard for road rules and pedestrian safety something that has sadly become common in Bengaluru. But at the same time, the incident exposes the fragile and poorly maintained infrastructure of even the so-called “posh” areas. How can the civic authorities boast about “Brand Bengaluru” when the very roads in its elite zones crumble under minimal pressure?Brigade Road is not some forgotten lane on the city’s outskirts; it’s a symbol of Bengaluru’s modern image. Yet, if such incidents can occur here, one can only imagine the state of lesser-known areas. It’s high time both reckless drivers and irresponsible civic contractors are held accountable. Because what happened today isn’t just an accident it’s a reflection of the crumbling trust in Bengaluru’s infrastructure and governance. Karnataka State Police S. Bengaluru Metro’s infrastructure is so vast and widespread that it presents a golden opportunity for large-scale rainwater harvesting. The pillars, stations, tracks, and roofing systems span across the entire city ideal for capturing rainwater and putting it to meaningful use. But sadly, like most things under Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS and the current administration, this opportunity is being completely wasted. Instead of utilizing this extensive setup to address the city’s water crisis or contribute to sustainable urban development, the rainwater is simply allowed to drain away flooding roads, overflowing drains, and creating chaos for citizens. It’s both ironic and frustrating that in a city plagued by water shortages in the summer and waterlogging in the monsoon, our leaders still haven’t figured out how to harvest rain effectively. One would think that under the much-hyped “Brand Bengaluru” campaign and with DK Shivakumar repeatedly promising better urban infrastructure, such basic ideas would already be in place. But once again, promises are high, delivery is zero. Tushar Giri Nath, IAS continues to be reactive instead of proactive, and the government is too busy with PR to care about real, on-ground solutions. Why hasn't a city like Bengaluru with the talent, resources, and technology implemented rainwater harvesting in metro infrastructure? Where is the vision? Or is the idea of sustainable planning just another fancy headline for election speeches? Until our leaders stop sleeping on these obvious solutions, Bengaluru will continue to swing between drought and flood with no end in sight. Silk Board 2.0? New Flyover Risks Becoming Next Traffic Hotspot Traffic management in Bengaluru is becoming increasingly difficult despite big infrastructure projects. The recently opened double-decker flyover was expected to ease congestion, but within days, traffic has already started building up again. This raises a serious concern are we actually solving the problem or just shifting it? For years Silk board Junction, has been a symbol of endless traffic. Now, even with new developments, the situation risks repeating itself. If such congestion continues, future plans like tunnel roads could become even more problematic, with the danger of vehicles getting stuck inside enclosed spaces during peak hours. Bengaluru doesn’t just need bigger projects it needs smarter solutions. Improving public transport, enforcing traffic rules, introducing intelligent signal systems, and promoting staggered office hours can make a real difference. Without proper planning and accountability, even the biggest projects will fail, and new roads will only add to the city’s growing traffic crisis. Karnataka State Police S. Another Language Row Erupts in Karnataka After Hindi Removed from Airport Display Boards Tensions have flared once again in Karnataka over language issues, following the recent removal of Hindi from display boards at an BLR Airport international airport in the state. The new boards now feature only English and Kannada, sparking widespread debate and backlash among sections of the public. Many citizens have taken to social media and public forums to question the government's decision, expressing concerns about inclusivity and the potential alienation of non-Kannada speakers. Critics argue that while promoting the regional language is important, completely excluding Hindi India’s most widely spoken language from a key international gateway sends the wrong message and may affect tourists, migrants, and travelers from other states. Supporters of the move, on the other hand, defend it as a step toward preserving and prioritizing the state’s linguistic identity. They argue that Kannada, being the official language of Karnataka, deserves prominence in public spaces, especially within the state. This latest controversy has reignited ongoing discussions about linguistic politics in Karnataka, highlighting the delicate balance between regional pride and national unity. As the debate continues, citizens are urging the government and airport authorities to reconsider the decision and adopt a more inclusive approach that respects both local culture and national diversity. Karnataka State Police S. From Highway to Mud Pit: Uttara Kannada–Sirsi Road Turns Into Slush Nightmare Look at the condition of this road in Karnataka this is the Uttara Kannada Sirsi road. Thanks to our MLA, MP, and the state government for this worst kind of maintenance. What should have been a proper, motorable road has now turned into a muddy stretch filled with slush and deep potholes. This Uttara Kannada Sirsi road has become a nightmare for the public. Even buses are unable to cross smoothly, and bikers are struggling in the middle of the slush, risking accidents at every moment. Many vehicles are simply turning back because no one wants to get stuck or damage their vehicles. Local residents, daily commuters, school children, and emergency services are all suffering because of this pathetic condition. Where is the road? Is this what people pay taxes for? This is not just poor maintenance this is complete negligence. Authorities make big promises about development and infrastructure, but the ground reality on the Uttara Kannada Sirsi road tells a completely different story. Basic infrastructure like roads should be a priority, not an afterthought. The concerned officials and elected representatives must take responsibility immediately instead of ignoring the hardships faced by the people. The public deserves safe and proper roads, not this endless stretch of mud and inconvenience. #banalore #bengaluru #sirsi #uttarkannada 112 Uttara Kannada Deo UttaraKannada Ramalinga Reddy SP Karwar DK Shivakumar Siddaramaiah alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ Karnataka State Police S. The accused reportedly carried out a brutal machete assault in broad daylight and continued the attack even after the victim had stopped breathing, showing a complete lack of fear of consequences. This incident highlights a troubling reality criminals are increasingly acting with boldness, as if they have no fear of the police or the justice system. When such heinous crimes happen openly on the streets, it shakes public confidence and raises urgent questions about governance and policing. There is growing public frustration regarding the effectiveness of law enforcement and the accountability of those responsible for maintaining safety. As the Home Minister of Karnataka, G. Parameshwara is expected to ensure that citizens feel secure in their own neighborhoods. However, incidents like this make people question whether enough is being done to prevent such crimes and control rising violence.People are demanding stricter action against goons and repeat offenders, faster investigations, and visible policing that can deter such acts. Law and order cannot just exist on paper it must be felt on the ground. Attempt to Kill? XL6 Driver Drags Man on Bonnet in Broad Daylight In Bengaluru A shocking case of road rage was caught on camera on 11th February 2026 at around 12:45 PM on Old Airport Road in Bengaluru. In the disturbing visuals, a Maruti Suzuki XL6 bearing registration number KA03NN4501 can be seen speeding recklessly while a man is lying on the bonnet of the moving vehicle. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver was driving at a very high speed, endangering not only the man on the bonnet but also other commuters on the busy stretch. The man on the bonnet was seen shouting and pleading with the driver to stop the car, but the driver allegedly continued to accelerate without concern for human life. The act has raised serious concerns about public safety and reckless behavior on city roads. Such behavior is not just irresponsible it is criminal. Dragging a person on the bonnet of a speeding car shows a complete disregard for human life and traffic laws. Roads are meant for safe travel, not for settling personal disputes in a life-threatening manner. Incidents like these could have easily resulted in a fatality.Upon further verification, it has come to light that the driver is reportedly a previous offender in cases related to rash driving. Additionally, checks revealed that the vehicle’s insurance policy had expired, which is another violation of the Motor Vehicles Act. Operating a vehicle without valid insurance and engaging in repeated reckless driving reflects blatant negligence and a lack of accountability. According to the DCP EAST, a case has been registered against the driver, and further investigation is underway. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken as per the law. This incident once again highlights the growing menace of road rage and reckless driving in Bengaluru. Strict enforcement, heavy penalties, and cancellation of licenses for repeat offenders are necessary to ensure that such dangerous individuals are kept off the roads before innocent lives are lost. Karnataka State Police S.
