On September 23rd at 8:39pm, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Richmond Highway & Belford Drive in Hybla Valley, Virginia for a hit-and-crash involving a pedestrian. A black Mercedes was seen striking a pedestrian and fleeing the scene. While arriving to the scene, a Fairfax County police officer struck the pedestrian, who was still in the roadway. Fairfax County Fire and Rescue responded and immediately began performing life-saving measures. Trina Jones, 62, of Alexandria was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
