Kindly assist: A few days ago, I was involved in a hit-and-run accident caused by the driver of a white Toyota Hilux GD6 Double Cab, registration number AFS 3613, along Alpes Road opposite Pomona Barracks, just before 8am (Harare). The vehicle moved into oncoming traffic and drove directly into my lane. As it approached, the driver attempted to force his way between my vehicle and an oncoming truck while still in my lane. In the process, the Hilux sideswiped my car before the driver sped off without stopping. Fortunately, my vehicle is fitted with a dashcam, and the entire incident was clearly captured on video, including the vehicle and registration plates. My vehicle sustained scratches, and the rear wheel was also hit, resulting in a severe alignment issue. Four people have died in a road accident that occurred this evening on the Masindi–Hoima Road in Masindi Town. The accident involved a motor vehicle and two motorcycles. Eyewitnesses say the speeding driver lost control of the vehicle and knocked down three people. Two of the victims were traveling on motorcycles, while the third was a pedestrian. "She was at the crosswalk and crossing the street...The fact that you hit her and then ran her over and sped off, like my kid's life didn't matter," said Anita Gutierrez, Amiya's mother. Amiya's family is pleading for information after the 15-year-old was struck by a hit-and-run driver while she was walking to school. The teen remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Police are looking for the driver who injured a pedestrian in a hit-and-run incident along Jalan Bunga Mawar, Taman Muda here at 8.19pm on Monday. Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Khairul Anuar Khalid said they received a report on the hit-and-run at 12.39 am, adding that preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was crossing from left to right of the road near the pedestrian crossing when they were hit. “A car of unidentified make and registrations came from the right of the victim and hit them while they were crossing. “The victim was thrown to the middle of the road and suffered severe injuries. They were taken to Ampang Hospital by ambulance for further treatment,” he said in a statement yesterday, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987.

In this video, a motorist from Bindura says a double-cab vehicle with no number plates hit his vehicle before fleeing the scene. In another incident, one of our followers shared that he witnessed a hit & run yesterday along Seke Road. According to him, the offending vehicle was driving on the wrong side of the road when it hit a black Toyota Vanguard before speeding away. The offending vehicle was identified as a white Nissan Caravan with registration number AFM 6700. We hope this information will reach the Vanguard driver and they will be able to identify the vehicle involved. Zimbabwe Republic Police
