Let me guess, physbones were used to activate an animation that triggers a subset of constraints as the bone gets stretched. When the bone isn't stretched its constraints are to the breast bones?

pretty much, but instead of the stretch value its the angle value, then the constraints just have the value blend from 1 to 0 so it doesnt continue to move with the boob once removed from it
