Military ones will be hardened/fiberoptic though. There will be a drone arms race for a few years with new features and countermeasures until some kind of stability is reached.

It's strange that they don't all fall at the same time. I build custom drones, and some will fall from the sky if disconnected, while others with GPS will return to the launch site and circle until the signal is restored or the battery dies.

Well we do need this in some aspects. Or we will never be alone again.
