🇨🇳 China has rolled out a firefighting drone swarm called Zhuque. It comes with 2 scout drones and 10 firefighting drones. The scout drones find the fire and locate the hotspots. The firefighting drones then fly in and drop fire-extinguishing bombs right where they're needed. The idea is simple: fight fires faster and reach places that are too dangerous for crews on the ground. Nice to see drones dropping a different kind of payload for a change.

He says there are three primary risk vectors to having Chinese drones in the country: 1. DJI drones could stream back sensitive information ("video, thermal imaging, GPS coordinates") to Chinese servers. 2. Drones used for warfare in Ukraine are consumed at insane rates. By relying on Chinese drones, the US won't have the domestic manufacturing capacity required for warfare scenarios. 3.
