There is a room in Málaga that was built to be the closest thing on earth to standing inside heaven. It is called the camarín of the Virgin of Victory, and it is hidden at the top of a tower inside the Santuario de la Victoria. To reach it, you climb and the ascent is the entire point... The building you are climbing through was completed in 1700, and it was designed as a single argument made in stone. At the bottom lies a crypt: a black chamber crowded with white plaster skeletons, a meditation on death and the brevity of life. From there a staircase rises, and as you climb it the light grows stronger and the imagery changes from bones to saints. The architects of the time understood this ascent as the soul's own journey, the dark crypt as the stage of penitence, the staircase as the stage of spiritual progress, and the room at the very top as the final stage: the union of the soul with the divine. That room at the top is the camarín, and its dome is one of the most extraordinary interiors in Spain... Every surface is covered in white and gold plasterwork. There is no empty space anywhere. The Baroque called this horror vacui, the horror of the void: the conviction that a space meant to represent heaven should not contain a single bare patch of stone. Out of that plasterwork emerge angels, flowers, birds, and mirrors. The mirrors are not decoration alone. They catch the light pouring in through the windows of the drum and throw it around the chamber, so that the gold seems to move and the whole room appears to shimmer and breathe. I'm jumping on the opportunity of our current trip to Chongqing to do a health test: I do it once a year in China, always with the same company (iKang, which has test centers all over China) and it is the most comprehensive health test you can possibly imagine. As you can see in the videos the place is divided into small rooms, and in each room there's a doctor performing a specific test (blood test room, IRM room, x-ray room, ECG room, etc.). I'll do about 25 rooms this morning, in the space of approximately 2 hours, resulting in me being checked for hundreds of possible health issues (including, for instance, all testable cancers). The market price for this is RMB 8k (about $1200) but like every year I managed to get it at a heavy discount for RMB 2k or about $300 (most people get a discount, I don't think anyone pays the full price). Which considering a visit to a specialist doctor in China typically costs about RMB20, is actually very expensive and shows just how comprehensive this test is. Lastly, public service announcement: everyone should get health tests yearly if they can, especially for high probability issues (like prostate cancer for men), early detection often makes all the difference.

This is why “decoupling with China” is a complete myth. I’m here in Las Vegas attending CES the world’s largest tech show and was invited to join a Chinese Tech cocktail party this evening. Some of the brightest minds and entrepreneurs from China are in this room, including the founder of DJI There is ZERO chance the US could ever decouple from China. 1/3 of the companies in attendance at CES are from 🇨🇳 Mandarin is spoken all over the convention floor and every Chinese entrepreneur I speak is optimistic about the future and not worried at all about a Trump presidency. Remove yourself from the media who spreads lies and fear. Come to the trade shows and learn about how the real world works!

Why doesn't morning begin with a peaceful sky and the aroma of coffee, or a morning jog, and a sound sleep in our own bed on a day off? But instead like this - evacuating from our home in the middle of the night, with children, due to yet another russian attack. This is one of the many buildings in the city of Odesa tonight. Burning because russia wants it this way.

Ola recently announced that they are bringing affordable AI to Indian developers. 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐬 an Indian company has been providing affordable GPUs for developers across the globe since 2020. We are a little known, so I want to share our story here. 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 We are bootstrapped, building from the outskirts of Coimbatore. Started as a small team of 4, from humble backgrounds none from IITs/IIMs. Currently, we are a team of 12+. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐝 The cost of hosting GPU servers 4 years back in India was insanely high. We got 2 quotes which charged us Rs. 1.5L for a single server per month. At that cost, it was not practical for us to do the business. So we went to the first principle to build an MVP for a mini data center/server room. For the first few years, we ran all our servers from a room fitted with ACs, a UPS, and a Generator, which experts claimed would not work. As we scaled, we faced the heat of our setup, but by then we accumulated more money than we had. So last year we moved it to a tier 3+ DC near Bangalore. This helped us boost the confidence of our users, as we have redundancy for power, internet, and networking which gives us and our customers a lot of peaceful nights. 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐬 Developers and artists from across the world have supported us in our journey. Some prominent companies are ZOHO (My inspiration), Weights and Biases, UNC, UpGrad, and many more. 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 We crossed 580K USD in the last financial year, the highest ever in our history. Being bootstrapped, the only way for us to grow is to put all the money back. Our customers are our investors, as a founder I have hardly taken a paycheck for the last 4+ years, since the team also believes in our vision they are happy not taking a fancy cheque. 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 As AI evolves, we want to bring the capabilities of AI to users at the lowest prices possible. Being bootstrapped, the only way to survive is to be frugal and disciplined. Apparently, this is the video of a Super Falcons player putting food in her bag, and it’s clearly being taken completely out of context. At a buffet, it’s common for guests to take food back to their room or pack something to eat later when they’re heading out. On its own, this video proves nothing and has absolutely no connection to the reported theft of money from her hotel room. Using an unrelated clip to fuel racial abuse or to justify an alleged theft at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca is dishonest and misleading. Taking food from a buffet does not excuse or explain money allegedly being stolen from a player’s room. CAF and the Local Organising Committee must treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves, investigate the reported abuse, and ensure that all players are protected from discrimination, harassment and hate.

The White House is not a museum that has to stay frozen. It is the working house of the American presidency. The Supreme Court is right to let the ballroom move forward now.
