As much as I share the same compassion as many of us calling out the reporter of this incident, someone like this should have no business with policing. How many more accidental deaths do you want us to deal with? Will you even be confident of reporting an incident to someone like this in the first place? Will you even be confident to have this person as a driver talk less of being in an institution that could grant him access to a gun? You complain about a bad policing system but bend when the standards are being questioned. What exactly do we want? Normally, I'd fault the police recruitment standard/process in the first place. The Police force is a highly sensitive institution that should have nothing but the best of personnel and the highest of recruitment standards. I'd rather you questioned the recruitment process that gave him the job in the first place than the reporter of this incident.
