Is he better than Maurice?

Different eras for sure, but Maurice was on another planet frankly. I remember him most on punt returns. Just electric. And so strong. I think Duece may be a better receiver. Though you know what? Two of his 4 TDs vs. Long Beach Poly were catches. This is great video. I think DLS's greatest win, 29-14 against one of the most talented prep teams ever - I think 5 from LBP made to NFL.

SD Mines accepted an invite to play Division 1 Drake on Thursday night (8/27/26) to kick off the season, and not only did they leave Des Moines with a nice payday, but also left with a 38-35 victory. Despite falling behind 10-0 in the 1st Quarter, the Hardrockers responded with a heavy dose of Dawson Dunbar, who scored the next two touchdowns on a 58 yard screen pass and a 49 yard run down the Bulldogs’ throats to take a 17-13 lead into halftime. In the 3rd Quarter, Gage Baker found former high school teammate Joshua Morales and tight end Blake Borchers for touchdown passes of 44 yards and 36 yards respectively. When momentum turned in Drake’s favor in the 4th quarter, the Hardrockers displayed the grit and perseverance we have all come to expect from a Coach Flohr team. With 7:45 remaining in the game, the Hardrockers went on a 15 play 79 yard drive that ate up 5:55 off the clock and ended with Dawson Dunbar refusing to go down until he ran it in from 3 yards out for the go ahead touchdown. While Drake had the ball with 1:50 remaining, SD Mines put the nail in the coffin with a huge interception by Senior Linebacker Charlie Johnson. Leading SD Mines to the win were: 🏈 Gage Baker, 19 Cmps on 31 Atts for 306 Yds & 3 TDs; 🏈 Dawson Dunbar, 17 Carries for 120 Yds and 2 rushing TDs & 3 Recs for 94 Yds and 1 receiving TD; 🏈 Ty Harris, 23 Carries for 108 Yds; 🏈 Joshua Morales, 4 Recs for 84 Yds & 1 TD; 🏈 Charlie Johnson, 12 Tackles (5 Solo & 7 Ast) with 1 TFL & 1 INT; & 🏈 Jarin Allen, 8 Tackles (7 Solo & 1 Ast). SD Mines will welcome Southwest Baptist to Rapid City next weekend as they attempt to built off the momentum from Thursday’s win. Here are a few Hardrockers’ highlights from Thursday’s victory: #RMAC #RMACfb #SDMinesFB #RiseOfTheRockers

Heading into Sanford Stadium 10 years ago today as an underdog for the first in 72 games, Alabama head coach Nick Saban told his players the plan to beat the No. 8-ranked Georgia Bulldogs could not be done by “ordinary men.” With national pundits proclaiming the dynasty had ended two weeks earlier with an upset loss to Ole Miss at home, Alabama Football responded with an “extraordinary” performance in a dominating, 38-10, victory over Georgia on Oct. 3, 2015. Despite soggy conditions, Jake Coker accounted for two touchdowns, one passing and one rushing, while Derrick Henry scored on a 30-yard run and the Crimson Tide added two non-offensive touchdowns in the 28-point rout. “I was really proud of our players today, our team today,” Saban said in the postgame press conference. “I thought this was a difficult challenge for them. I told them before the game that the plan that we had for them, ordinary men couldn’t go out there and get it done. “We needed them to be extraordinary and that they were, and they were special.” Alabama jumped out to a comfortable 24-3 halftime lead on a 29-yard field goal by Adam Griffith, Henry’s 30-yard run, a blocked punt return by Minkah Fitzpatrick and a 45-yard pass from Coker to Calvin Ridley. In the second half, Eddie Jackson returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown and Coker added a 2-yard scoring run to give the Crimson Tide a 38-3 lead with 10:05 remaining in the third quarter.
