Dumpster Divers in the Soviet Union would save x-ray films to make bootleg (sort of literally) records. The x-rays would be cut roundish and a needle would cut the record. They called it Bone Music and this act of rebellion produced over a million records.

My wife is Russian. Her dad told me a story about a months long, super secretive underground quest to get a cassette of the Beatles. So, he gets it, pops it in....there's about 45 seconds of music, then a message threatening bodily harm bc the rest was blank and to keep quiet 💀

ALERT: Navy SEAL and Alabama Senate candidate Jared Hudson says he would pass the SAVE Act “yesterday.” The SAVE Act would require proof of citizenship to vote in elections. The act is supported by Elon Musk, who has called anyone opposing it a "TRAITOR."

₹2000 CR would be a cakewalk for Enthiran if it released today. 🔥 The craze, the scale, the VFX, the music everything was ahead of its time. Even a re-release today would be enough to shake the box office and rewrite records. 🙏🔥

Zelenskyy: “If Russia becomes a new USSR, it will be dangerous primarily for America” “If they have the Soviet Union, you will have China and the Soviet Union — the largest empire and the largest army in the world. They would truly be stronger than the United States, and that would be dangerous for you,” the Ukrainian president said. According to him, Ukraine has remained a “wall” preventing this scenario from becoming reality for all these years. “Ukraine itself was a barrier to all of Putin’s dreams. It is a wall. You paid for this wall — and that is why they will not be able to restore the USSR,” Zelenskyy added.

Pence: “It wasn't that they asked for a pause. The president specifically asked me — and his gaggle of crack pot lawyers — to literally reject votes, which would have resulted in the issue being turned over to the House of Representatives and literally chaos would have ensued.”

If you could carve a Mount Rushmore of musicians, who would make the cut? @vladduthierscbs asked New Yorkers who they would honor with a monument. Vlad takes a closer look at what it took to build the monument — and how people feel about it — tomorrow.

Ray Dalio, founder of the world's largest hedge fund, on how he turned a trading idea into a system. this is the whole loop, in his words: "every time I would make a decision, I would go back and study: if I made that decision in these circumstances, how would it have worked in the past? and I would know the track record of that decision." then it becomes a rule: "I would program it into the computer... rather than just the one I would see, I'd dump in all of them, where do they exist anywhere in the world?" and the constraint most people skip: "the rules should be timeless and universal. because if it didn't work in a long period of time, I would need to understand why." a trading idea in your head is a feeling. tested across every instance in history, it's a system.

Ukraine is not asking us for troops. They are asking us to cut off the money fueling Putin’s war. The Graham sanctions bill and my DROP Act would make Russian oil a bad business to be in and give President Trump the leverage to end this war.
