Since most states will not allow an honest and truthful school curriculum about race, this 1619 Project documentary on Hulu is necessary. Not only does Black folks in particular need to watch it but for America at large need to watch it, too.

This cheapens American history. It is an assault on our difficult yet incredible story - how we worked together to overcome some of the dark challenges of human failings through the incredible light of human triumph. We must fight against this assault on our great American story. We must tell our full truth and ensure we learn the hard invaluable lessons it teaches lest we repeat painful, costly mistakes again.
