I don't think much of Abbas. He was hand in hand with the israelis. Now these same israelis are taking the tiny bit of Palestine that remains he's speaking up.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas condemned Israel’s military actions in Gaza and the West Bank in a prerecorded video address to the U.N. General Assembly and urged world leaders to do more to protect Palestinians. In his speech, he called for an end to the Israeli occupation and warned that continued violence and displacement threaten Palestinians’ ability to remain on their land. Abbas was forced to deliver his remarks remotely because the U.S. denied him a visa to attend in person for the second consecutive year. The State Department said the decision to deny visas to Abbas and his delegation was a consequence of what it called the Palestinians' "ongoing activities that undermine the prospects for peace." Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to speak in person later today.
